I'm happy to be reading about this. It's nice to know that these professional athletes took some time to connect with their fans, even though they had to pay. Hopefully they didn't bruise too many egos though lol

LOL i actually expected them to play down to the level of talent at the gym... Looks like sonny was just ruthless, good to hear though. I hope he brings that attitude to the NBA this season.

Showed up for a bit, but only watched as there were way to many ppl trying to get in on a game. They basicly stayed on the court the whole time, while teams alternated between eachother to play them. Very cool that they showed up...Impromptu dunk off was cool to see.

I know they weren't trying that hard, but a few of the pickup players kept up with them. There was one guy that played some stellar D on Demar whenever he was on him. It forced him to shoot jumpers most of there game. Sonny looked alot better than Demar to be honest, hitting shots everywhere, handling the ball with alot more ease, playing harder D on the scrubs. Overall it was a cool experience to see NBA players play pickup ball up close and personal. Hats off to those guys for showing so much class.

Thanks for the recaps, I hope that some vids make their way onto this thread.

These two have been consistently accessible to us since the beginning of the off season. Unlike Bosh who wants our attention through his web sites and brand attention, these two want to rub shoulders for no other reason that it's fun for them. Bosh has always had a somewhat standoffish relationship with the fans, almost seemed insincere. With no real publicity to go along with this, Sonny and Demar just wanted to get involved with the fans of TO. Much respect.

Did you record that video? I understand that it might be hard to hold a camera steady with your bare hands, but is it really that difficult to at least point it in the correct general direction? It was pointed at the floor half the time, and when it was pointed at the players, it was as if you have Tourette's.
