Add Azubuike for JR Smith and I'd think about including either Fields or Chandler.

totally agreed, id make it chandler, keep fields

38/12 tonight, just ridicolous

Chandler, Gallo, Felton, Curry, Azubuike pick for Melo, Billups, and JR.

According to Broussard the Nets are banking on the fact that Melo wants his money and will settle for NJ.

it's a joke man. very tense around here.

I take it very seriously. These guys take a lot of shots. That leaves very few for anyone else.

Carmelo Anthony, in his shooting frenzy haze is currently averaging 19 fga a game. Gallinari and Chandler combine for nearly 25 fga a game. So it's not quite 100% accurate that this will cost other players shots.

In fact this deal probably would require more guys to step up to take shots that they haven't been used to take (all the more why I would insist on JR Smith being sent to NY in a deal).

Also consider that this is SSOL and there are shots aplenty. If this was a defensive oriented team then yeah I'd worried but the Knicks will still live and die by outscoring the other team and will continue to be among the tops in the NBA in terms of PPG (right now 2nd behind Denver).

So the Nets reached out to denver but a nets writers source says denver reached out... hhhhmmmm suspect much.. this is ridiculous.

NYDNInterNets Stefan Bondy
by HowardBeckNYT
Source confirms Nets and Nuggets have talked again about Melo, said Denver initiated talks but didn't know when. No meeting scheduled yet.

Also, there's concern that Denver is trying to get Knicks to up offer.

My favorite part about it is that we have nothing they want...yet they've traded for Balkman, signed him to an extention, and gave Harrington practically the full MLE.

What a joke.

I really don't think that Amare and Melo's game can mesh well. I wonder if STAT would be the type to complain about not getting enough touches. I mean Melo has taken like 35 shots this game, that's a crazy amount.

touches for either one won't be a problem if we gut the **** out of the squad.

Well this could really backfire on Denver if Melo comes out and says he will not commit to signing an extension with NJ if traded to them before the deadline...

If/when he says that... it's lights out and the Don has a TKO.

This is the Nets writer who keeps reporting about the Nets and Melo lol. It looks like Wojina may have "cared for him" when he was a small boy:

Yup. I also love the fact that they've been supposedly talking for a week now. How come it wasn't reported then? What a joke.

Where do the Knicks go from here? Up the offer, wait it out and be patient or does Donnie say no or forget about it what do you guys think will happen?
