As part of 3-team deal, Nene goes to Wizards, JaVale McGee to Denver and Nick Young to Clippers, sources tell Y! Sports.

Nick Young can't be going to the Clippers while simultaneously going to Denver in the Nene deal.

Unless it's a 3-way?

they are still trying to figure it out. they changed it to NY to LAC for Cook and a pick but now they are saying it may be a 3 team deal.

Please let us find a way to get Nene

It's gotta be something serious about Nene's injuries as much as they like him in Denver.

I can't figure out how the salaries work -- we're not sending out enough to take on Nene.

Hadn't thought of that angle.

If this is true it is an interesting deal. Nene is obviously a good player when healthy but i don't know the injury story with him. His deal is a big one too.

I'm guessing that Clippers pick is like a 2nd rounder or heavily protected pick.

I like the Wiz, but these moves are a step in the wrong direction.

Nene will be an albatross around yall's necks if u keep him beyond this upcoming offseason. His best years are behind him. I hope yall deal him in the draft.

As for Young, I feel you could have gotten more for him, what was up with just Brian Cook and a bad draft pick? Is he an Al Thornton type player, all offense and no defence?

Niq:

No, he's a good offensive player who plays OK man-defense, but messes up team defense with poor rotations. It's not terrible, but he's just "eh" overall defensively. The bigger issue is that he doesn't pass or rebound and he seems to lack competitive focus.

On a vet team where his role is designated shooter, he'll be just fine. On a rebuilding team that needs a good team mindset, he was useless.

Yeah the Nick Young dump doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I figure the Wizards could easily buy a later 2nd in 2013 or 2014 and stash the player for a couple years.

I would have traded Nick for a $50 gift card to Starbucks at this point.

I would have held out for at least a $100 :)

I realize that Nick Young's trade value wasn't much, but basically he was sold for roughly $1 million and a pick in 3 years.

My guess is the Wiz actually got zippy squat for Young. It's a conditional 2nd rounder - which is usually code for - "you ain't getting squadush". The Wiz don't have to pay for the rest of his salary, but they aren't gettinig his services, so presumably that's a wash.

I'm pretty sure Young was included to make the numbers work. He had the power to hold up the trade and force his way to LA, which he did. The Clippers had to give up something for him because they didn't have the cap space, so they gave up Cook.

Nene won't play on Friday for the Wizards against the Hawks.
The big man still has to pass a physical before the trade is official, so he won't be available for Friday's game. Kevin Seraphin should get the start at center once again and had 12 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes on Thursday. Mar 16 - 12:27 PM
