he's basically barbosa w/even less conscience + finesse + no jumper

i still think he's gonna be a hell of a player, one bad game

5 shots outside of the paint when he's the only offensive option out there for the Hornets (with Gordon injured and Anderson coming off the bench) is not that much.

Cavs will regret passing on H.Barnes for Waiters if they dont already....monumental waste of a 4th pick. Even Jeremy Lamb looks like a better prospect. John Henson looks ok ..he just needs to add weight and pick and choose his shots better but he'll be fine since he's already a good shot blocker ..which is something u either have outta the gate or not

if the defense is giving him those shots, he should take them. at least he's confident in his stroke, which is actually pretty solid. it wasnt a big part of his game in college but the jumper should be a big part of his game in the pros. i don't think he'll ever be a back to the basket post player so he's gonna have to learn to be effective in space.

I genuinely believe that this time next year, Festus could be a legit starting C on some teams in the league.

I really like Ezeli in college and just shock my head when he was drafted so far down. The dude had a NBA body and game even back then.

I've seen him play the last two years. He's incredibly strong, a good post defender, and a good shot blocker...but he still has issues - hands aren't great, can't get position well on offense, doesn't have a refined offensive game (passing or in the block), and his rebounding can still be improved upon.

That being said, he's an animal in the weight room, is a nice defensive player, and has shown some improvement on offense the last two years . I knew whatever team got him would at least be getting a player that can be real effective on one side of the ball.

Big fan of all my Vandy rookies, actually. I think they all will be solid players (at least, the ones drafted...Lance can be an end of the bench player...don't see him getting much time.

He was shooting a lot of long twos before Mike Dunlap came in. His percentages haven't been bad over the last two games, though.

His problem isn't his shooting..kids got range and looks like he took his accuracy to the next level this yr going by training camp tweets and his results so far. His problem is that his defense is so bad he makes Shaq look like a good analyst. Letting Robin Lopez go off like a damn all star :noway:

Anthony Davis:

22 Points
9 Rebounds
0 Turnovers
29 Minutes

Austin Rivers:

13 Points
4 Rebounds
3 Assists
2 Steals
0 Turnovers
28 Minutes

Neither of them has turned the ball over through two games.

And for good measure since I just commented on being concerned about Robin Lopez, he goes for 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. Hornets looked pretty good, against the Bobcats of course.

The hands are an issue I am concerned about. He seems to have improved in that area, though. He caught some nice passes from Curry the other day en route to a couple of easy dunks. He's definitely putting the work in, as is Harrison Barnes for that matter. These two rookies are both gym rats and smart, which bodes well.

I was at the Hornets/Bobcats game last night.

Davis was awesome. He altered a lot of shots just by jumping..that wingspan is amazing. He was taking it to the hole and getting a lot of dunks. Lopez playing as well as he did and Anderson draining 3s helped with spacing a bit, but Davis just had great position and cut to the basket at the perfect time. Also, he WAS hitting jumpers that I did not think he would be able to do until later in his career. I was impressed with that, big time. If he gets a consistent jumper this early...damn. He was also getting rebounds and was in the right spot, a lot.

Rivers was very good last night. He played SG next to Vasquez in place of Gordon and was basically driving to the rim whenever he felt like it. He played in control, with the team, moved well without the ball in his hands, etc. I was really impressed with him, 1000x improved from Summer League.

I didn't even really notice MKG except for one nice dunk. Other than that, he just wasn't that noticeable, but then again I didn't really care about him and wasn't focusing on him.

Another thing on AD:

There was a play where he just airballed a jumper. He immediately cut to he basket, Lopez rebounded it, did a behind the back bounce pass to AD who then slammed it home. Awesome move by him.

In my NBA2k13 raptors association I have already traded Demar Derozan. Terrence Rpss' jumpe r and dunking abilities are just too good to waste in the second unit. Ross is only rater 71 buthe shoots like kobe.

2K rated Ross appropriately, Ross can definitely shoot, but not sure if can be an iso player... Anyways yall need to prepare for the arrival of Valanciunas

Anthony Davis used to be a guard before his growth spurt so I'm not surprised that he's capable of nailing jumpers.
