But I don't know how we're ever going to have success if our talented players want out. And if another leaves, that furthers the rep that people must hate it here.

From a pure basketball standpoint, I want BJ3 gone. Too inconsistent, too pouty, fragile confidence, and way too entitled for what he delievers.

Just takes a certain kind of a character, I think. I think if things worked out right Bogut would have played his career here without any fuss. I also would think Durant would be that kind of a character.

But if the rumors about Jennings are true (and I do think we have to still recognize them as only rumors), then he seems to be the kind of player who cares more about his endorsements and after-parties than the game itself, and unfortunately there are a lot of those kind of people.

Atlanta: Morrow, Teague, or a big package with Josh Smith involved (don't see that happening)
Dallas: Collison, Crowder, and a pick
Orlando: JJ, Jameer Nelson, and a young guy

any of those 3 moves improves us shortterm and long term. i cant believe we wouldnt pull the trigger on one of those if it was available. close your eyes and pick one mr hammond.

Unless they move the NBA season to summer, the only way any player will ever want to play in Milwaukee is if we can contend and I'm not talking 8th seeds.

I don't think Jennings would be pushing his way out if this team wasn't so sad and directionless.

The thoughts of our local sports affiliates on my twitter question....

My question

Bfinkish @DennisKrause1 @lanceallan so give it to me straight, Brandon Jennings percentage of being traded by the deadline...

Their Responses

Lance Allan ‏@lanceallan
@Bfinkish I'll say 75 percent he stays

Dennis Krause ‏@DennisKrause1
@Bfinkish Couldn't give %. Certainly possible. I would say Ellis more likely of two to be dealt because of his player option for next year.

riveting.

Honestly, I probably do all the packages Ford has listed in his chat. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd rather roll with Ellis for this season and have him opt out and lose him for nothing than keep Jennings.

If we could somehow get Nelson, Redick and Harkless, I think that is pretty solid value for an expiring headcase, gives the Bucks a nice long term piece, a reasonably priced starting PG, and a nice SG piece for the 8th seed chase.

I'd probably roll with any of those trades Ford mentions. I don't know if I want Josh Smith though, never really was a fan and don't think he'd be happy coming here.

This will end poorly, and we'll keep Monta.

It's going to be hard to get a non-biased answer on this right now. Keeping it short, he's very quick and a pretty good altho very streaky 3 point shooter. Because of his slight frame he avoids contact so he doesn't go to the FT line often and can't really finish. Good enough defender but can get bullied by larger stronger guards and gambles on steals a lot. Doesn't have great vision but not terrible but looks for his shot first. Doesn't turn the ball over a lot. I wouldn't say he's a headcase, he's young and acts like it but he cares a lot about winning and can be pretty emotional. I think he'd do well on a team were he's like the 3rd option.

Strikes me that's a very good summation

Might add that he believes in himself enough to take responsibility for performing in the clutch. And sometimes does notably. At other times, with his not-so-talented teammates, he seems to not know what to do.

Also think he is mentally so young, that he really doesn't know what he thinks about his career. But there's a hunger there, which may mature into being a real competitor (does with some athletes; not with others.)

Josh Smith would have considerable value in a 3 way trade.

Jennings is clearly a front runner, so I agree.

Landing Josh Smith would be worthless, he's not re-signing here under any scenario.

Honestly, and this is sad, but the player that intrigues me most on the teams mentioned is probably Harkless.

Atlanta has two picks as well. Getting Teague and either 17 or 19 I'd be down with.

he hates it here. this would be worse than when gilbert arenas ripped milwaukee and made fun of j rich when he was traded here.

Yea, getting Josh Smith without any chance of resigning him would be pointless. A third team would be needed if he is involved in a trade for sure. I didn't mind that Evan Turner idea earlier in this thread.

ya i wouldn't mid it either. its just a win for us as long as we aren't paying the kid 12 mil a year.

What is Harkless destined position? Small Forward?

Yep.

Honestly, Teague and one of ATL's picks would work for me. If they view Jennings as more desirable than Teague, I'm guessing they'd part with a mid 1st.

That'd be what I go after, and I think you could sell them on that.

Not you, specifically. Like, the team.
