I predict 1,000 years of darkness, and an unceasing winter of ignorant-ass "LeBron > MJ" assertions from young fans. Yes, even though James has a losing Finals record, has played like dogsh*t for half of this Finals, and yes, even though random, fully contested Ray Allen 3s don't have much to do with LeBron James.
His legend will grow in the retelling. 10 years from now, in the oral history of this series, LeBron James still will have been wide open and comically missed the whole rim with his desperation three point heave (JUST AS HE PLANNED), but only after dispatching three dragons and a cave troll by choking them out with the headband he used to wear to keep his full head of luxurious blonde hair out of his eyes.

Stephen A Smith going with Spurs. Doesn't know how they will do it though but it is his pick.

The Evil Empire isn't supposed to win! I feel like in Game 6 the Millennium Falcon crashed just before reaching the Death Star reactor. Hopefully the Spurs can pull it out tonight.

-Hold Miami to 5 or fewer 3 pointers made
- Make 7+ 3 pointers
- Win the rebounding battle
- Hold Lebron to under 30 points
- 3 Spurs must score at least 20 points
Spurs will win if they do all 5
I think the most important are the first two.

Re: NBA Finals Thread - I Need A Miracle
Why am I nervous? I'm not even playing!
Spurs just need to come in and do what they do. Spread the ball around, make good decisions, limit turnovers, hit 3 pointers, and play solid defense without letting the Heat kill you from 3. If we've learned one thing from this series so far it's that there's no such thing as momentum. Every game has been different. No team has won two games in a row, so if that stays true to form, the Spurs will win

It's now, the time is now. Game 7. The possible last game of Tim Duncan and Ginoblili, their possible last hopes for a championship. One last epic journey through the struggles of the playoffs and it all boils down to this...game 7. It time. Now or never.

Re: NBA Finals Thread - I Need A Miracle
NBA referee Tim Donaghy made repeated phone calls to a second referee at the same time he provided inside information to professional gamblers during the course of the 2006-2007 season, according to court documents and phone records obtained by FOXNews.com.
The records show Donaghy placed 134 calls to referee Scott Foster — more than the 126 calls Donaghy made to his bookie — between October 2006 and April 2007, the period during which he has confessed to either betting on games or passing on game information to gamblers. The majority of the phone calls lasted no more than two minutes and occurred prior to and after games Donaghy officiated and on which he admits wagering.
With the exception of 150 calls Donaghy placed to Thomas Martino, to whom he says he provided “picks” to win games and who was the middleman between the disgraced referee and a bookie named James Battista, the ex-ref phoned no one more than he called Foster. During this period, the most calls Donaghy made to any other referee were 13.

Yeah, sure Steve Javie, Scott Foster is the best of the best.

There goes that theory by some that thought Spurs won't be in this mentally.
