This is another interesting situation. Who here wants to offer Dragic 4/$70? That probably is the baseline number to get the conversation started.

Dragic turns 29 in May. He's starting to heat up the past couple weeks.

No to PG's that are 9 years older than Giannis/Parker.

With the new TV deal, all those guys are getting maxed out and matched.

We need a different plan than that.

Honest question....you really think Harris gets maxed?

Age doesn't matter if it's the right player.

Sam Cassell was 29 when he joined the Bucks and gave the team 5 exceptional years as PG.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

I'm not adding Rondo to this team. Partly because of age, partly because of fit, and partly because of potential chemistry concerns. He's just a really bad fit for this team moving forward.

I would agree if Dragic relied solely on his athleticism. But he is a high character guy and he can play off the ball if needed(when Giannis handles the ball for example) so i think he would be a perfect fit for us.Plus by the time he 31-32 Giannis and Jabari will be at their 3rd and 4th year so we ll have a better assesment of their skill.

I think he is a guy that Kidd would love to work with

I want a point guard. Since Mudiay is likely not going to happen, I'll be just fine with Tyus Jones in the draft. He's only 6'1", but that's still slightly taller than Chris Paul.

No Schroder. No Rondo. No Dragic. No Reggie Jackson.

I'll be stunned if Dragic gets close to that but who knows

Dragic isn't going to Milwaukee either. Cmon guys.

Not only that, but the Bucks aren't close to being ready for a guy like that to come in.

And please do not chase a rental.

I like his game but I wouldn't add him either.

im not sure I want him either but he didn't sem to do to bad with..... allen, pierce and garnett. they match up pretty favorably to knight, parker, and giannis if you ask me.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. I do think both Giannis/Parker will be all-stars, but I'm not ready to put Knight there and the Celtics trio was also completely developed, if not nearing the downside of their careers, when put with Rondo. It's a completely different dynamic to what we have going.

Ages on that Boston title team:

Ray: 32
KG: 32
PP: 30

I was speaking strictly about styles of play. not caliber. you said hed be a bad fit and I thought you were talking about bad fit as it would relate to style. spacing, where guys like the ball, usage, keeping everybody happy, etc etc stuff.

The only player I'd throw a big money offer at is Jimmy Butler this summer. That's it.

Otherwise, just stay the course, acquire assets and keep a low salary structure in the event a star becomes available via trade. Next season Ersan & Mayo will be on expiring deals and they could net us something good potentially.

I'd rather sign Dragic than Knight. Which is kind of why I'm dying to see Wolters get minutes, but whatever.

Dragic isn't Plan A, but he shouldn't be Plan Z, either.

Probably not terribly expensive to get and fits the current growth model.

I think the Cassell/Billups/Nash examples are very relevant and spot on.

We'll know a LOT more about our circumstances and team progression come April, but we might be ready for a 3-4 year vet PG to come in as early as next summer.

I' mean guys, let's realize that other than the Spurs, most of the top NBA teams are creations that last 3-6 years at most. It isn't like we need to be 100% sure that our PG will still be on the team in 2023 if we've got a chance to string together three 50-win seasons in 2016-2018.

By example, the Nets had two amazing years in the finals after they brought in Kidd at age 28 in 2001.

I don't think Jimmy Butler fits either, but that's me. Bucks shouldn't be spending big in free agency and rather stay focused on growing organically.
