at least with Phil running the show. The one thing we have learned is Phil keeps a tight ship. We don't know about trades till they are actually in the final stages of happening.

Rumors don't have to come out of NY to be leaked. Can come from other people connected to organizations that spoke to us.

Lets also remember that S.Mills does all the talking on the phone about trades and whatever else and Phil just gets reported to by Mills so there's no telling what could come out of a conversation with him.

Is Melo posting on here?

The probability of him being a poster on here is pretty slim I would agree. Even though I wondered about Mars Blackmon. Just was commenting on a trade that realistically wouldn't happen.

Now if there was any other way I could get my hands on that sweet shooting light skin brother Booker I would be all for it (kid can ball). The other two i'm pretty meh about especially for there price long term salary.

Knight and Morris are prototypical triangle players though.

Maybe we can do a three team trade with Pheonix and Detroit and get both Morris twins cause they were playing really well for the Suns when they were together and happy but they did have some off court problems like that fight they supposedly got in and beat someone up pretty bad.

Yes. Knight don't play defense though. They really need to break up that back-court. Too many ball handlers. They need some vets. Jose, Lou, Early and aRRon for Knight and PJ Tucker.

Can you relay that to Phillip Jackson? Are you sure you want to get rid of Aaron? <<<Don't answer I just wanted to spell it the right way.

Knight I can see in the triangle but he is a weird dude. He has that great 50 game stretch with the bucks that got him traded. But outside of that he has been a pretty meh shooter from deep. Is he the 41% shooter with the bucks? Or is the guy in the other years been a 36%, 32%, 33%, and 31% shooter.

Morris while having the skill set to play in the triangle (can post a little, seems to be a decent passer). He is kinda a dummy and the triangle does involve a little more thinking in terms of playing off some guys (knowing when and where to cut).

Both aren't strong defenders either which wouldn't help us.

Booker, yes please.

True, it probably did come from someone other then the Knicks, but the intent may have been to use the Knicks name to get other teams interested.

I think it is what it is. Knicks are active and speaking to teams who have players avaliable. Knicks also have a large fan base who likes to stay up to date with stuff like this. All a reporter has to do is ask, "have they talked to the knicks too", and it's instant traffic. These rumors take on a life of their own. All a "source" has to say is yes to that question.

I've noticed something though. There's been a little anti media campaign brewing across the league. And most of the rumors over the past months have been real vague. We're not seeing much detail like we used to see. And most of these rumors are dying out with nothing happening. I recall one in December where a trade was supposed to happen in January. I think it was for brewer. It didn't happen. The most detailed rumor has been a kings pelicans trade that was turned down awhile before it was leaked.

Point is, I think the media is getting shut out a lot more than in the past.

I've noticed this too, and I bet it's partly due to Woj trying to go legit and actually run a business.

I hope so. We're not far off making the playoffs, but it's starting to slip away.

Not surprised. It was getting out of hand. Broussard was tweeting out done deals and then then taking 'em back; that might have been the last straw.

DEAR GOD -- the apocalypse can not be far off.

2 less years of a similar contract, not a jack off...I could absolutely see them wanting to do a 1 for 1 deal. Under most scenarios they would probably have to give up a draft pick to move his contract because of the douche bag he is.

He doesn't fix our problems and I don't seeing him have a significantly greater impact that what we already have (dwill).

Good points -- I didn't realize Morris was on a +2 year longer deal and it does go to show you that everybody (even Jose) can be moved.

I'll say we have at least 2 new roster players -- not sure how they get here (trade / free agents) but I think we have to try something.

Just don't blow the summer Phil unless you find your guy.

Phil clearly knows we need backcourt help

he's just not gonna make trades to make trades

Morris might happen but probably not until we do something for the backcourt first
