Worst-case scenario, they're prepping for life without Lee. Best-case scenario, they're adding depth because they've found a taker for Lamb.

If we trade Lamb straight up for a 1st round or early 2nd round all might not be lost.

This signals to me that Lin is gone. We wanted Marco before he ended up signing with the Kings. Lin was our fallback option. I was hoping we'd be able to move Hawes or Lamb in a 3 team trade, but Bellineli was always a trade target should Lin walk.

It's disappointing that we don't have a pick to look forward to, but this is not a bad trade at all. Bellineli is a great shooter and playmaker, he will look good on this team. No one we would have drafted at 22 would be able to give us the production that Marco will.

All that said I hope were able to trade back into the 2nd.

Any time you can trade a first rounder for Marco **** Belinelli, you have to make the deal.

I mean, look at this guy:

Look at that stupid face.

Ugh. Marco is a 30 year that had a sharp sharp decline last year. He shot freaking 30% on threes and 38 over all. Why would anyone trade a first rounder for him. Makes no sense at all. Did MJ get blackmailed?

Hell, they could've just sold the pick then signed me. I could shoot 30% from three and not be able to guard NBA players too

Like it. Lots to like, actually. Shooter, ball handler, veteran with savvy... Pick him apart if you want, but he fits our squad more than the dysfunctional dumpster fire that the Kings were last season. And Cho gets him locked up on a good contract in the new NBA cap insanity.

And for those who dreamed of Malik Beasley soaring through the purple and teal night, saving the Hornets from their absurd lack of athleticism and blackness, I grieve with you. But I'll have my second Barefoot Pale Ale and get over it.

The only way I'll be annoyed with this is if Valentine or Baldwin is there at 22, because then what's the point.

Otherwise I'm excited to have another three point shooter. Marco is a career 39% 3 point shooter, he just shoot poorly in SAC because that team was a train wreck.

This was a stupid trade. Marco is a near washed up barely never was. He is worth a second rounder at best. No way I would rather have Marco over a guy like Brice Johnson on this team. Bad move

Overreaction.

I don't mind this at all. I don't care what his numbers were in Sactown. That team is a **** show. I was hoping we'd be able to get most of the guys back but it's still too early to tell their direction.

Gonna be fun when Clifford benches him for ballwatching a la Lamb too.

W.T.F. I might as well turn off the draft now. Ugh.

Maybe I am wrong. Maybe Belinelli is our shooting guard of the future

ESPN hates the trade for the Hornets, too. D-. Gives an A to the Kings even though the pick hasn't been made.

All media outlets flunked the Hornets for trading Hendo and Vonleh for Batum, too...

Most fans were furious they traded for a veteran SF/SG who was "washed up and coming off his worst season" when he (Batum) is now about to get a near-max deal.

That better be Batum if he's getting max.

And most will see this as a Cho move for a guy he wanted last season. But this was a trade for Batum.

I feel like this was a panic trade. Cho wasn't able to create cap space for either Lee or Lin. He didn't want to start the season with Jeremy Lamb as the only shooting guard, so he roll the dice on hoping Belinelli can still shoot.
