Jackson moves like a SG. Just took it coast to coast and hit a cutter at the rim with a nice pass.

I'm not able to watch the game ATM, but to me, he IS a shooting guard.

I know people are stuck on picking a guard, but I'm hoping Jackson shows enough perimeter potential to make him a viable pick for the 76ers. I'm not as high on Dennis Smith as many.

The jumper looks wack af, though. His hitch is hideous. He moves like a guard and he carries himself like a star. Just wondering if the skill level is fully there. It would be a shame if he ended up having to be a 190 pound F.

Josh Jackson's form is so ugly though. He shoots from his neck, not over his head and he does this double clutch thing before he shoots it. It's uglier than Shawn Marion. I mean he's talented, but I can't see any way he's a good enough shooter at the NBA level to be an elite level scorer.

Josh Jackson's shot will get sent to center court if he attempts this hideous looking J in the pros.

Yeah, I see that. I'm aways of the mindset that shooting can be corrected, and Dennis Smith isn't a consistent outside shooter either. I just want more options than Fultz.

Don't see him ever being a good shooter. "Rebuilding a shot" is easier said than done. Players typically do what feels natural to them and breaking habits like that is not easy. He's probably been shooting like that his whole life, because I know for damn sure no coach ever told him to shoot like that. It's against every shot mechanic in the book.

I just don't trust a guy who shoots that ugly to ever be a good NBA shooter. If we get the #1 pick again I just can't take him #1.

Lonzo Ball is a sleeper for #1.

Elite vision, elite athlete and he's flashing early shooting skill (2-3 from beyond tonight).

He's like Steve Nash mixed with Zach Lavine.

It looks like he shoots with 2 hands, but if he makes them, it's not a big deal. Jackson can't make them and he brings the ball up from his pocket.

I talked about him a little after last year.

Do you have a preliminary read on the 2017 point guard class? Any favorites yet?

I won't speak on the incoming freshman because I have to see them demonstrate age-to-excellence first.

In terms of returning collegiates:

J.J. Frazier - Current Junior

Diminutive is size, but high in skill level. Can shoot it from deep and distributes. In the same vein as Boston Zeke, Ty Ulis, and Pierre Jackson. Frazier is legit. I would take him as a late first this year if he came out.

Jawun Evans - Current Freshman

Evans hasn't put it all together yet, but he's already displayed high level distributing. Also great shooting marks, 47% from three (on low volume attempts) and 83% from the line. He's going to need to step it up on the defensive end as a sophomore, though. If he can maintain a 40% three point mark while increasing his volume, he could be a potential late lotto pick.

Yeah, Lonzo has to be the front-runner for the #1 pick. He displayed the total package in game 1.

- Nearly posted a triple double
- Played defense
- Drained threes
- Displayed elite athleticism

I've heard mixed reviews on Ball. I saw draft ranking ranking from top 5 to outside 10. I just want multiple people to ball out so we have multiple guards to choose from in case we don't get a top 4 pick. Giles being hurt really bothers me because many say he's the best player but I see many GMs hesitant to take him in the top 5 because of his injury history. We don't need him so he would help if he could ball out and be a top 3 player since we don't need him. As long as we have 3 very good PGs to choose from then that should be ok. I doubt Ball and Smih Jr and Fultz are all gone before 5. I expect us to be picking in the top 5 so if all 3 look to be future perennial all stars then that's great. What I don't want is for Fultz to be the best player with no competition and if we don't ge the top pick then it's a drop off from him to Smith Jr and Ball. I want them all close as far as its not that clear cut who will be better. I need this draft to be deep as the experts say it is.

Draft rankings for HS seniors are virtually useless. Draftxpress and Draftnet have no clue about these guys until they hit the court. Lonzo's HS tape is enough to consider him in the mix to go #1. His freshman campaign will just cement that, I'm betting.

I agree. And sometimes top players don't look that good like Skal last year. If Ball is the best PG while Fultz looks good and Smith Jr looks good we will be in great position to finally have a real PG. I'm rooting for all of them. We need a guard in the worst way. I can't have this as a one great PG draft. I can't I can't I can't. If we are picking at 4 or 5 or 6 I need there to be a great guard prospect to choose from.
