I'm happy were cutting KJ. Sorry I'm not impressed with him.

There are far. too many young guards on this team that need minutes. Not worth the money.

Three million is nothing. That's not even half the MLE.

It gives us more cap room which is key, especially if we intend to make a max offer to someone.

3 mil is too much for KJ.

I hope they sign him to a cheaper contract with team option tho.

I totally didn't like his game when he first came but got tons better with Kenny. Would like to see if there could be much more progress with a full camp and season.

Thanks for the honesty.

We can still pick him up at the minimum if no one offers him a contract.

I expect Marks to retain all our minimum guys (Acy, Goodwin, Harris, Kilpatrick & Dinwiddie).

It's funny how gross Mozgross' contract is considering that it's even higher than all our player's salaries combined not named Lin, Booker, Anderson, Russell & Hamilton. I wanna puke... yuck!!!

Maybe KcDaniels will be back, but I doubt it. Hopefully he finds a home on an NBA team somewhere. Now we have more cap space for that max offer.

Under the radar names to watch (my opinion, so take with a grain of salt)

Joe Ingles
CJ Miles
Tony Snell
Jodie Meeks
James Young

I think its a lock they add another swingman in F/A. Of those 5, only Ingles is a potential starter. All are essentially backup plans to Porter and KCP

props to Russell for saying the fans have been great to him so far and very welcoming. We need a player like this guy here. Finally having a young rising star will do wonders.

had to laugh at Mozgov for saying "if coach wants me to shoot half court shots I will"

Nothing. Nets traded cash considerations, that's it.

Kevin O'Connor: Nets & Sixers to make hard push for Redick

Multiple league sources I’ve spoken to expect the Sixers and Nets to make a hard push at Redick. Were he to go to either of those teams, Redick could receive an opportunity unlike anything he’s had before. He is one of the greatest 3-point shooters in league history, and is coming off a season in which he averaged a career-high six 3-point attempts per game.”

I can't fathom Reddick coming here and starting over LeVert, and you're not bringing either Lin or Russell off of the bench. I don't think it's a good fit even though we need shooting.

I'd sign him and figure it out later.

Idk man, we're overloaded at guard, it's a weird fit after the trade.

It's possible that JJ's agent has given those teams indications he wouldn't mind getting extra money for a lesser role. He's not going to start over Covington in Philly either.

I think we'd also need to sign a SF as well now that McDaniels is out.

What do you guys think about James Johnson? Miami might try and steal one of the bigger free agents and try to retain Waiters. Maybe if we can make him an offer early in free agency, we could get him.
