I'm wondering if this is more Fd up for us than we know.... say Stevens committed to Ainge that he could get this done, and Ainge banked on it... and now we passed up other options and they are both blindsided and pissed...not anyone says fault, just saying that they over estimated their chances here and cost us and now we are panicking for plan B C d and E.

Cost us our chance at who? The only free agent of Hayward's caliber was Blake Griffin and he stayed in LA and was almost certain to once they traded Chris Paul. So we missed out on some B and B+ guys...that's not what we're looking for.

Brad doesn't strike me as a guy who makes promises like that. He's very measured in everything he says.

I think at this point the main reason why I really want Hayward is so that I don't have to listen to idiots on the sports hub like Zo and Adam Jones rejoyce if we don't.
