Tim_Hardawayy wrote:The depression on here is embarrassing, we are 7 years removed from the biggest free agency haul of all-time, we could be the Orlando Magic if it weren't for Riley. Worse actually, since they at least had Shaq/Penny before Riles got here.

Hayward's a nice player. He's, at best, a 20/5/4 guy on a good team, who's probably best suited as a 2nd option or even 3rd. We didn't get the luxury of paying him like a top 10 player in the NBA, oh no, the sky is falling!

Now if you have nothing better to do but complain, just stop, and let iggie, chalms and HWR soothe your soul with memes.

Wouldn't characterize it as depression but more of frustration with the issue of going 30-11 in the 2nd half of the season would benefit Miami by
A-Rewarded in the lottery for the effort of not outright tanking
B-Players will want to come here via free agency or forcing trades with their respective teams

Net result was zero on both counts so now have serious questions on how long these contracts for JJ and Dion will be with TJ's 19M looming and a 2018 1st rd pick that is just top 7 protected.....

we had the hassan tweets and videos, the banners on along or near the stadium and 9 hrs of meetings while the other dude probably went to the point in a shorter time without so much tweeting and clowning going on. its a business not a festival or a family affair

What? A couple of tweets, a banner and meetings finished within a day is a circus? The knicks are a circus. I don't think you have any idea what fans of a poorly run organization have to go through
go ahead and just watch the tweets and videos again and see how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) t all looks and sound. spo probably went in to a new age speech as well. that's why hayward dissed him on his cuĉked article

where did he diss Spo? lol

Dragic is a remnant of that post-Lebron squad. He was supposed to team up with Bosh and Wade. Now both are gone.

We should trade him. Our team is full of remora fishes but no shark.

Naw man he's a borderline all star guard who makes the same thing as freaking Kent bazemore. We gotta hold onto him as long as possible at this point. He's a great bargain! And he's shooting better from 3. THIS IS OUR GUY!!

I find it amusing that when they said he still hadn't made his decision yet, almost everyone figured it was cause his players tribune post wasn't done

Why aren't we going after Otto Porter? He is only 24. SF. Isn't he pretty good?

I'll be honest he's a good player but not 30m good. Him signing here for that much would only be worth it to see Boston fans cry and Ainge's face as he struck out yet again.

RFA and the Wiz have already said they'll match any offer. So all we'll be doing is tying up our money for 4-5 days at the end of which they will match.

They'll have Horford earning $29m
Hayward earning $32m
They'll need to extend Thomas for like $35m

There goes like 80%+ of your cap. Yes they'll have 3x lotto picks on rookie scale deals, but they're gonna lose some talent.

That's 93% by my math. oof

As noted by REALGM: "The Boston Celtics have withdrawn their qualifying offer to Kelly Olynyk to allow him to become an unrestricted free agent.

Boston needs to clear his cap hold off their cap to sign Gordon Hayward."

Gonna be tough to build a team around that soon to be overpaid "Big 3".

I hope we sign Waiters and JJ to team friendly deals so that we can move them if we need to free up cap space. If they are looking to get paid I would pass and let some other team sign them to bad contracts. I'm kind of glad we didn't over pay for a player like Hayward when we weren't going to win a championship with him anyways.

Only reason he probably signed to Boston is due to the head coach. Aside from that I don't see why he would leave Utah and or not come here. Meh.

But then what? They have his bird rights - if they're signing someone else, they don't.

They could concievably sign and trade him, but if that was the case why didn't they draft Fultz?

All a bit weird.

Damn they are screwed. All those picks aren't going to help them either.
