Not sure why Stackhouse is compared to JV. They are completely different people.

It’s a really lazy comparison. Completely baseless.

Former player not a single game of coaching experience in the NBA. At least Forcier has been an assistant coach for multiple years and already knows the players and team. The transition would be much easier.

Imagine having to pick #10 from the draft due to pointless winning, firing Vogel while having a HORRIBLE team and Hezonja walking to another team. This season could potentially be one of the worst in Orlando Magic history and that's completley dismissing the worst that can happen (Orlando not matching an offer for AG/He taking QO).

I do think that if we do make a coaching change, a guy from outside the organization would be my preference. Especially if the Magic are trying to change the culture around here. I wouldn’t keep any of our current crop of coaches. I’m not advocating that. I think Vogel can coach, we just have a very unfavorable roster for winning. But if we made that change in needs to be across the board.

After watching those videos, I'm warming up to Stackhouse.

Actually, he does have experience at the NBA level (as an assistant coach with the Raptors starting in '15) and head coaching experience. Sure its in the GL, but thats more than you can say for JV and Forcier for that matter. Also, Stackhouse has worked with Forcier as both were on the pistons when forcier broke into coaching, so whos to say that Forcier wouldnt stay with the team?

Sorry, but to compare JV, is just lazy

I prefer Vogel than Stackhouse. Some stability and continuity will be a good thing at Orlando.

If we fired Vogel, all-in on Tony Bennett.

Vogel has lost most of my trust with the development or lack there of. and as a supposed defensive coach, our defense has been horrible for 2 years

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Kevin Ollie yet.
He was the NBA GM's wet dream in 2015.

If Vogel gets fired, my preference would be Forcier, who would be considered a Popovic lackey rather than a Vogel lackey. Vaughn was a Popovic lackey too, but I think we can all agree that we get a much different vibe from Forcier. Seems much more serious and focused, and seems like a guy in the SVG mold who isn't interested in sugarcoating things with cliches. The rest of our staff seems meh at best. Corliss Williamson displays a decided lack of Nasty. Matt Hill (is that his name?) seems like an idiot. The Immortal Jay Hernandez looks like he's fully aware of the fact he has no business being there.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

It’s not the coach, it’s the lack of the talent.

What about Forcier? Isn't he supposed to be the next great coaching prospect? Last year there was NO coaching turnover in NBA (which is nearly unique) or he would have been somewhere...will we be watching Forcier go somewhere while we hire someone unproven? I just assumed he was a head coach in waiting...(I honestly don't know a ton about Forcier either-I just think something new and shiny is always better to some).

I think it's awful, in general, to churn coaches like we have, particularly as it relates to young guys developing (not coincidentally our M.O.)...I was pumped when Vogel became available, but I don't see anything good from him. This might not be a bad time in our rebuild to inject some new vision and excitement into a new young core.

I dont recall Chad being a possible head coach candidate. All i remember is he is famous for developing Kawhi.

Might not be a bad idea to keep him though. Especially with The Kawhi situation in San Antonio.
