You thinking he's going to have a size problem at all shows you're not aware that wingspan and athleticism is far more important than whether he's 6-9 or 7 feet.

If he has any problems in the NBA, it won't be based on his height.

Ya, you wont ever come away from watching him thinking "that guy is just too short". The dude plays the game with legit size.

Getting his height confused isn't really all that bad, it's understandable, but "lazy" is the more confusing of the criticisms. I mean... what???

I dont think hes lazy. He does have some tantrum-esque things I would worry about if he would be going to a rebuilding team. But with Stevens and Horford and the rest of that locker room, I dont think its going to be an issue. And its not like he was a team cancer either, so he doesnt have massive character issues. Just showed his frustrations at times.

Can’t wait for the trade board to twist themselves into knots to give this pick a C- somehow

He is a potential future starter, at 27 that is great, I am interested in the analysis between him and Robinson but Willaims can reboundand block shots, we need those things badly. He is a developmental guy, think of Perk's timeline maybe plus a year. He is somoene who with some time and effort be a good starter, I am curious as to why he fell, he was projected top 15 and at worst top 20 to almost everyone.

Huge steal. Athleticism is exceptional for his size. 7’6 wingspan and 9’4 reach wow. Pretty good foot work and his a post move or two. He will contribute some this year I think.

Opposing teams are already working on the "hack-a-Williams" defenses.

Put him on the floor with Smart, Nader and Ojeleye, let those three bomb away, then get Williams to feast on the offensive board.

Good assessment:

We can groom him to replace Theis.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

The culture in Boston is perfect for Williams. Got the perfect mentors in Brad and Al. If he can't make it here than he won't anywhere.

Honestly he should be grateful not salty.

He may be a replacement for Baynes (whom I want back, but may not return).

LeBron will think twice before driving on Bob.

SL just got more exciting!

But I think Williams will send some time with Maine this year. We plan on resigning Baynes. So right now, IMO Williams will be behind Horford, Baynes, and Theis. But I like the defense, shot blocking, rebounding and ability to finish strong at the rim.

Wow. I left after the MPJ pick and went paddle boarding. I think that may have to be a new draft tradition if it works out like this!

He fell because in this day and age, NBA teams value 3 point shooting from their bigs. But if he works hard, he can be a Clint Capella type.

Our bigs besides Horford are such garbage that I can easily see this kid getting consistent minutes by the end of this season.

Baynes (if he re-signs) and Theis are hardly garbage. I actually think it might be tough for him to get minutes this year.

Regardless, this is an awesome pick.

Absolute STEAL. Dude can be anywhere from Capella to a Ben Wallace if he commits to that end of the floor. He's a Center through and through and fits these Celtics to a T.
