Never understand why people care about how the players feel or their personalities. A one year rental in Kawhi isn’t going to have the same emotional attachment to the jersey/city we do.

He doesn’t care about the fans or the city and there is nothing wrong with that not sure why that bothers people.

I don't think Kawhi means to offend people, he's just socially awkward. Hopefully he hires someone to write a proper farewell letter to Toronto, though - the one to San Antonio was brutal.

lets be real here. Kawhi and all these athletes are spoiled beyond belief. Love the NBA, but no one should have the option to turn down 190 million dollars at 28 years old to sign for 140 mil where they want to.

Gunna miss Kawhi and appreciate everything he has done, but the fact that people bend over backwards for these athletes is laughable. Great memories and look forward to seeing how we move the needle.

Really surprised Kawhi would play with luck after that incredible run. The grass aint always greener on the other side, but I hope it works out for him.

Lets go Raptors! What a great season it was.

yes I agree. He never wanted to be here. He honoured his contract and sucked it up. He is a cold dude, the fact that you cant get attached after all that love is truly cold. Thats why he is a killer

You realize this happened in the middle of the night right? There is time for them to still come up with a classy thank you, whether it be in the paper, online, etc... It's not like we're dealing with the most socially savvy guy here.

More importantly, listen to zeno. There is no need to hate the guy or manufacture anger. Don't go all high school breakup about this, there is no need. He did more as a Raptor than we could have hoped and owed us nothing beyond June 30. That's how it works when you trade for a guy that you already knew wanted to go play in his hometown, where two teams were going to do everything in their power to get him.

I would have been thrilled if he came back, don't get me wrong, but I can also just be happy that it happened and move on.

Without Kawhi, those teammates are a second round exit and half of them are aging. Raps were obviously very fortunate with the GS injuries. Kawhi helped them take advantage. He doesn't owe anyone anything.

I'd much much rather have PG as a second option than any of the other Raptor players.

So bizarre how people have the gal to be bitter towards Kawhi when he's handled all of this just fine. He didn't quit on the team, he even flew back here for a courtesy meeting across the continent.

If he wanted to go to the Clippers, he should have had the guts to go right at the start, not wait for it to be perfect after a Paul George trade. His maneuvering showed a lack of respect. To me, a tier one star should have the confidence to know that if he goes, others will follow.

I think everyone knows he's a hanger on, including him. His contract probably voids if Kawhi isn't on the team.

Spurs got this weird letter with Capitol THANK YOU'S after 7 years, I'm fine with a Championship and no thank you letter from Kawhi after a single season.

I'm sure 99% of us would have been thrilled last summer after getting swept by LeBron to have kawhi for one year and a ring plus getting rid of DeMars contract.
