Statistically, KG was nice. But he was never actually on Duncan’s level and this was proved over about a decade. Same with Dirk, CWebb, Pau, any PF in that era of great PFs. HOF but clearly behind Timmy. And a lot of KG’s teams were good in the reg season but they sure got smacked in the playoffs a lot.

And KG's stats tanked as soon as he was put on a contending team.

59% TS and 7.4 BPM the year Boston won the title (also keeping in mind he was 31 at this point).

The Big Ticket is arguably the most talented power forward of all time. Dude could play every position on the floor. (Twovles Had talent Marbury, Gugliotta, Cassell, Sprewell)

That being said he didn't win as the number one option on a championship team. (A couple of PF have done so)

The Ice Man (Duncan) 5 chips 3 finals MVP no other PF comes close. (Bird played both SF/PF)

KG & Dirk are even for me.

Karl Malone has always been scumbag. (This was news when he was playing)

Being 2nd on the all time points list doesn't carry any weight anymore.  Especially when the top 10 alltime scorers all have championships.

I don’t mean to turn this into a KG thread... but please...

PER 36 PPG/RPG/APG/SPG/BPG

KG in 06
20.2/11.8/3.7/1.3/1.3
PER 26.8
BPM 7.9
VORP 7.4

KG in 07
20.5/11.7/3.8/1.1/1.5
PER 24.1
BPM 5.0
VORP 5.2

KG in 08 (BOS)
20.7/10.1/3.8/1.5/1.4
PER 25.3
BPM 7.4
VORP 5.5

KG should have been MVP in 08 IMO. Kobe shouldn’t have been MVP that year, I feel like Kobe in 08 was more of a life time achievement award for having **** teams the previous two seasons (Should have been MVP in 06 IMO)

Not to say there isn't truth in this, but...

This is a medium article, what do you expect? Any clown can sit down and pen an 800 word piece and call it an article.

its too easy to criticize, and you guys do it like you're perfect human beings. We are here to judge basketball issues, and yes, to me hes in the top 5 of PF of all time. Definitely, what he did was wrong, but we dont know, probably he was misguided or influenced by his past.

I ran away from home at age 14, after dealing with multiple years of rape and physical abuse at the hands of my mother. I have had two separate surgeries on my testicles to undo her physical damage. I never met my biological father but I was told that he raped my mother and that was how I was conceived. In 1989, at age 18, my house was set on fire. In an effort to carry my unconscious girlfriend out of the building I suffered 3rd degree damage when the floorboards burnt through my shoes and into my feet. I spend 68 days at Toronto general hospital in the Burn Unit, getting full-to-partial amputations of all 10 of my toes, and two types of skin grafts over both feet. I could go on and on, but I won't...

Everyone in life has their stories to tell. This is a tiny glimpse into my past. I'll be turning 49 in a few months. I've been with my wife since 1992, and married since 1995. Aside from my health issues, I'm pretty satisfied with my life and how it has turned out. Life is about obstacles. We will all face them. It is up to each of us to overcome those challenges. There are no excuses. People are responsible for their own actions. I treat people of all ages, gender, color and sexual orientation with dignity and respect. Just because you have experienced some troubling times in your life does not give you the warrant to take it out on other innocent people. That is a sign of weakness, poor character and lawlessness, in the most severe cases. Fix yourself before getting into relationships; whether those be friendships or romantic. It's not up to the rest of the world to deal with your crap.

Right. That can only occur when we don't judge, but forgive. Karl was the way he was because he didn't forgive. We become what we hate. So while Karl was wrong, I absolutely don't hate him for what he did. Hopefully his children, for their sake, don't hate him either.

so if someone murdered your wife but then apologized, you'd forgive him/her?

FWIW, should be noted that Larry Bird was a deadbeat father to one of his daughters. It wasn't a statutory rape situation. In fact, the child was born during his first marriage (which in some ways makes the deadbeat aspect worse). He probably provided the child support, but the guy showed no interest in any kind of relationship with her.

She reached out to him several times and I don't think he ever responded. Maybe the story is updated now and they have a relationship (I have no idea) but up thru her college years, he had little to no contact with her.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

impregnating a minor >>> not having a relationship with your daughter.
