First, we have until August1 to decide whether Jeffries' $1.7M team option.

Next, from August 2 to the beginning of the regular season is the window we have to sign Lonnie to an extension. We did with DJ and Derrick, but not with Jakob who then became a RFA as a result.

Of course, FA market begins tomorrow at 6pm...

I don't like that the Cs are angling for Patty. I feel they've taken enough of our pieces already. I really hope Patty stays with us. LAL won't have enough money for him, and we'll still need a quality vet on the roster. Rudy, well, wish him the best wherever he lands, even if it's us, but it has to be for far less on a smaller role. Patty and Rudy were excellent for us last season:

Not sure how I feel about Lauri's game. Can his D be expanded because he wasn't honed properly? Don't know enough about him and I hope he's not a glorified Bargnani because that guy's GAF level was so low he was looking up to see the bottom. If Lauri has heart and desires to prove himself, we could be a good fit:

No offense but why would we throw in a guard along with DD? Not sure how this will all shake out, but a rotation piece being traded out with DD is highly unlikely. We're going in the direction of versatility at each position so the idea of paying $18M or so for a guy with one specialty is heading the opposite way. Great name though...

I think Knicks might make a play for DR...

This is possible if Miami gives up one of its free agents in mutual sign and trade with SAS (possibly with the involvement of a third party). Robinson and Nunn will be of little help here due to the BYC rule, because their salaries will not be considered at full value, so Oladipo, Igudala, Ariza and / or Bjelitsa need to be sent somewhere for three-year contracts in a total amount of about 80% of the new DeRozan's salaries.
