Got laughed at when I pointed out that they gave him a non guaranteed contract for a reason, but I can’t lie and say I’m not shocked by this. He’s been actually really good in his role but money talks.

I knew the owners weren’t going to pay him and Wes, then cut one or both of semi/hood, while still having to pay them, just to turn around pay for one or two buyout guys. That stuff adds up to a lot in tax money to penny pinching owners.

We don't know what's going on with Brook but I'm sure Horst, Bud, and the rest of the organization do.

Give Horst and ownership time. Let’s see what happens to the roster between now and trade deadline.

Have you heard something recently with him and the Bucks or just basing this off his past?

The playoffs are a long ways away. Are we rolling with Luke Kornet as our bench big going these next few games? It’s odd timing regardless of what Boogie may or may not have given us down the road.

Fwiw too the Bucks wouldn't have been able to trade Boogie. They can trade players like Hood, Semi, etc.

What is the cost of guaranteeing the contract and cutting him in a month if a trade happens? $1m? Im not a boogie fan and think he is probably a net negative but he absorbed contact and ate minutes. Ireally hope the plan is not to play 25 min of Gianni's at center for the next three months.

I mean they didn't really before the surgery and it's not like even if he returns you can trust a guy coming off back surgery either. I assume they have a plan but it's a fine line they're playing now.

Oh yes it does. This guy is not a good influence on the court or in the locker room. Obviously Bud had enough.

He simply a supremely talented 8-year old.

This is absolutely infuriating. Waiving a guy who's paid what Boogie was for "roster flexibility" is as cheap as it can possibly get.

Just because nothing was leaked out doesn't mean the Bucks don't know what's going on with Brook

His past. One of my alternate teams a few years back was the Kings. Followed them hard. He blew up that locker room. Doesn’t mean the Kings are well run. But he’s not a popular teammate or coaches favorite.

Why not? Teams have always been better with Kornet on the floor. He defends.

Oh come on. They wouldn't have waited so long to do anything at centre if they knew Brook would be out months and needed surgery.

PP going Cousins villain route is a choice.

@wojespn: Horst tells ESPN: "...We made a strategic decision to have an open roster spot, but there's nothing that would prevent us from partnering with DeMarcus again down the road."

This move will not affect the Bucks winning the championship in June.
