Wow that’s unreal. The last time I saw something like this was when Paul Pierce made 13 shots in a row, but that was a regular season game.

He’s 37 and one of the 5 smallest guys in the league, and he’s the best player on the best team. Wildddd

I said 8-10 so here are 7 clearly better (won mvps, lead their team to chips as the main or 2nd guy /fmvp guys) in no order:

Magic
Curry
IT (pistons)
West
Harden
Oscar
Nash
Then it’s guys like Stockton: longevity, crazy stats, 2finals appearances and would’ve won if not for MJ
Payton
Archibald
Kidd (but I think cp3 is better)
AI if you count him as pg.

So arguably cp3 isn’t even top 10.
What has he accomplished over these guys? 1 finals appearance no mvps or perennially lead teams deep in the playoffs. Mostly a 2nd round point guard a vast majority of his career.

Just cause he gets 10 assists and rarely turns it over? I rather have someone that turn it over way more but impact winning at a high level i.e. nash or curry. He’s always had great teams when said teams did well in the regular season like lob city clips or Houston with harden. Most of the time they collapsed in the playoffs tho.

Magic, Curry, and IT are the only players on your list I'd take over CP3.

What does Steve Nash do better than Paul? Paul is better than Nash at everything. Maybe Nash has a better 3 point shot and that is about it.
People say this but what concrete rational do they have for it? Over guys like 2 time MVP Steve Nash or Oscar MVP and champ, west fmvp, IT two time fmvp, AI MVP.
Cp3 while i have said is a 1st ballot Hof lacks both individual accolades or team accolades. He has good stats and impact to winning (though apparently not enough) but so does everyone else.

Then when it's LeBron vs Jordan it's all about individual and team accolades.

So overrated When they put him as a top 3 pg all time lol. First ballot hall of fame though. Maybe 8-10th greatest of all time pg. Which is legendary.

But I can’t believe everyone’s calling him a clutch player

Good lord, how cynical can a person be? Something amazing happened, a great player put in a great performance. In this instance we can even objectively call it the most efficient playoff performance ever recorded. Yet your immediate reaction is to post this? I find that to be pathetic. You swung and missed, and I hope this is an outlier rather than your norm.

Rewatched the highlights and man, the way CP3 navigates in traffic is downright beautiful. How does a guy who is maybe a hair over 5'11 manage to get so many clean mid range jumpers off?

Calling CP3 a Pelican isn't even the dumbest part of this post.

Cp3 is a scumbag in person and objectively made the league worse with his flopping.
No one has yet given me concrete evidence why he should be a top 7 pg of all time.
Lacks individual and team accolades. Impact of winning isn’t any better than the top pgs.
He picked his spots for a 14/14 yet they barely won, mostly do to pelicans incompetence. Like I said in my first sentence, good game.

   this guy

Yea, if every player just picked their spots on iso and pick and roll created shots they would also go 14/14, they just don't do it.

The additional posts just keep making it worse and worse.

There's this wild thing that happens in basketball, sometimes players have great games and they even....lose! Now we're criticizing a great game because the team won, but it was barely, and yes, in order for a team to win, the opposition has to also make mistakes and miss shots.

Great games are actually even more impressive when the game is close and there is pressure, not the other way around. If they win by a large margins you'd be here saying, "well it was in a blowout, who cares".

You should go look at many of the great games and see what the margin of victory was, lol

Nice to hear Shaq say he watched history being made and you won't see someone have another game like this for a long long time.

Amazing game by CP3 last night. Makes me wonder why he doesnt/never has consistently do that more often (not go 14-14, but take over as a scorer). Thats been my knock on him forever, toi many times hes been a passive scorer and deferred in big games/moments. He can clearly take over scoring, but hasnt done it enough and has historically lost as a result to more aggressive scoring stars. Amazing stuff last night, still hate him though.
