Traction around a 3 team trade - Miami / PHX / Utah

Crowder + Rudy Gay to Miami
Bogdanovic to Phoenix
Duncan + Saric + Picks from Miami and Phx to Utah

Does Crowder have a private jet scheduled to arrive in Mia in the near future?

Miami
Cleveland
Philadelphia
Brooklyn
Boston
Chicago
Atlanta
Milwaukee
Toronto

All of those teams can literally be 1 game apart in the standings and 1 game back from the 1 seed, but 3 of these teams are going to have to be in the play in from 7-9 and 1 of them won't even make the playoffs.

Its insane.

We’ll see after the first 20 games who looks legit. A few of these teams are guaranteed to not be what we think they are going to be, whether its injuries, chemistry, or just normal slumps every team deals with. I’d lean towards the teams with continuity being at the top, Milwaukee, Boston, us, perhaps Brooklyn off vet talent alone. The other teams will have to prove it, Im betting we will see a clear drop off at 4-5.

I got no issues with Crowder and Gay coming this way. Would give us depth at the 4 spot and get off Duncan’s contract. It’s a realistic deal that keeps the team very competitive.

welp that was an exciting offseason while it lasted. lets hope Tyler is motivated to shut up all the haters along with a healthy Dipo and offense oriented Bam. im with the FO in letting PJ and Markieff go when we barely got double digit points out of the pair. we got enough prospects to get spot minutes for the 4 spot and see what fits before we break Calebs back

Alright boys and gentlest here are the latest news from the my source.**** sweet and very dry roast Sauceesss!!!

1. Good news, some teams called Miami yesterday with some scenarios for some trades , They are definitely asking for Yurt and or FRP plus Duncan for a 2 for 2 swap. He doesn’t know the teams name right now but should know by next week their names once he digs into it a bit. 2 teams to be exact, who were not in Miami’s line of sight previously but apparently their PF’s up for grabs due to their issues with their upcoming extension. Miami is still strongly entrenched in keeping their assets and going into the season expecting a possibility to happen prior to trade deadline but 1 of the Execs wants to review this closely next week and follow up and see if we can gain something to help us. They are very aware the team is exactly the same minus PJ and the other teams in their conference have upgraded. So that the execs all need to be in the same mindset or they don’t move forward, so there’s an opportunity while small we could be seeing something happen next week, small opportunity but an opportunity never the less.

2. The bad news, Herro’s agent is starting to press harder on finalizing his extension prior to season start and demanded a meeting to finalize negotiations next week as well. There is a meeting scheduled on Tuesday evening with all parties, to figure out the plan to either finalize the extension or hold which is something they do not want. Their expectation is it’s not fair to hang over his client an extension by keeping him in limbo not knowing If he will be in Miami by mid season. His client has fulfilled everything asked of him, and he allows him to go to open market it be bad faith by the team. His client wants to start the negotiations at 30per year once previously he was Luke warm at 28per with incentives he feels the RJ extension is the market value for his client.

As long as the word "no" is in the dictionary, Herro can ask for or demand anything he wants.

Tyler apparently holds absolutely no trade value across the league. He might as well be extended.

That's not true. He probably just doesn't rise to the adequate compensation for a star player level. But if it were true, you sure as heck wouldn't want to give $30 mil a year to a guy with no trade value.

$30M for a guy who won’t be an all star, that’s tough.

Let Herro and his agent demand all they want

Pat better not give him an extension — let him prove it this season, especially if he wants 30mil per.

You guys are better off coming to grips now on the cost of that Tyler Herro extension to save yourself the outburst later. You have to pay market value in this league, the Knicks set the market at 30 million. Im not going to bother looking up the stats, im sure Herro/Barrett have comparable numbers. Factoring in a Florida discount, the floor of that Herro extension might come in around 26-28 million a year. It was the same dilemma with Bam, they could have made him wait a year but his agent pressed them to get it done. Players and agents dont want an IT situation.

The real outrage may be next summer when Miami can't retain Oladipo, he'll be looking to get one last big contract and it could get ugly if Herro is extended and Oladipo is a better all around player for Miami after finally being healthy and getting a real offseason in to get back to where he should be.

BTW, you're correct, RJ Barrett career average in the playoffs is 14.4 points, Herro's is 14.0. Herro has been in many more playoff games then RJ. I probably wouldn't give either big money but New York has to take the chance, they're not a good team as of now.
