In other words, you’re going to keep spreading the internet rumors unless he does what you want. Douche bag. Go give Poole that big hug and shut your mouth.

yeah, just read on the news feed yesterday, people over there are convinced he has mental issues.

and in the end, who the **** cares about dumb rumors? people from the organization know what this is about.

Honestly I don’t really care what it’s about specifically at this point, I just want to know if or when he’ll be back. Their whole season could literally be riding on that. Wish him the best in any case but we gotta know what the hell is going on pretty soon to know what the setup is heading towards/into the playoffs.

As much as we all want him to suit up, I think this uis the right call.

We dont want wiggs to be forced to suit up and have his head somewhere else. You might as well sign lamb in that case.

I'm guess he has a family number who is terminally ill abd he wants to be by this person's side fir as long as be can. Imagine if wiggs was forced to play then said person passes away while he's at practice or playing a game. He'd never forgive the organization.

Give him his time and hopefully he comes back for the play offs.

There's really no timetable for these things. Here's to hoping for a full recovery.

OTOH, basketball could be a respite for him from being preoccupied for a month with these personal/family problems.

Wow Rick Bucher just said he doesn't expect Wiggins to return this season at all ...

The longer it goes, the more this seems like a possibility. Especially considering he wouldn’t even be in game shape if he is eventually available.

Hopefully he lets the team know if he's in or out for the rest of the year. It's better that we know what to prepare for rather than being stuck in limbo.

The absolute silence on the matter has me leaning that way as well. That's why they need to know though. If there's a decent chance he comes back, of course you want him. But if not, maybe they need an emergency pickup or two to backfill (probably including Lamb). Running the gauntlet in the playoffs was going to be hard enough with Wiggins, without him I just think they're probably too thin. Then there's the whole GP2 uncertainty and I'm starting to think he won't be back either, or will come back and be ineffective or re-injure himself, all while taking a roster spot, none of those are good.

In light of Wiggins and GP2 mysteries, I think Kuminga becomes an extremely important piece, for better or worse. And that's why I wanted Kerr to play him a lot of minutes during the season, so he'd be ready for this moment (Moody too, but he got almost no development). Right now he's probably not quite there, hopefully he can play in the next 14 games and ramp up.

We need Wiggins back to have any chance of contending, no question. Other things need to fall our way too, but we aren't getting past the 2nd round without Wiggins.

Depends on who the 2nd rd matchup is. Against the suns most likely, but kings or grizz I think we can still beat them.

The seriousness of whatever his personal reasons for being away are probably enough for him to be less focused.

Even if he came back now, he's probably not going to get in game conditioning with just a couple of weeks of the regular season left.

So at the start of the playoffs, he'd be less than peak conditioning-wise, not to mention whether he's in the right frame of mind to defend, shoot or just play basketball in general.

It's probably not wise for the team to count on him this season.

The thing about the Dubs' "small ball" approach is that they need to have everything clicking in order to win in the playoffs. (TBH, they probably also need to get lucky with injuries or other problems for other teams, like favorable matchups.)

If they're without Wiggs, I think they have little to no chance. Just saying. And if they get Wiggs back, they also need GP2 back and playing well, JK playing well, JMG playing well, etc.

Who knows when/if Wiggins will be back. Whatever is keeping him away, must be serious and I suspect really needs Wiggins' support. Unfortunate timing for everyone, but it is what it is. Looking for JK to really step up.

Think the FO has known for awhile that Wiggins isn't coming back. Now, they're finally letting word out. They should have told everyone a long time ago instead of acting like his return was just around the corner.

I'm ready for some real changes on this roster -- and a new GM.

Also, it's time to let Kuminga start and find out how good he can be.

Cowherd just reported that Wiggs likely won't be back.
