plus the Pels are 55% [16-29] from 3 but the problem is the power forward
yeah ok
The PF still generally is quite uninspiring regardless. Deck chairs aren't created equal though. Morris' issue right now is that he shot has been off for some time (previous 12 games, 21.6% 3PT). Supporting players have different ways they can make impact in addition to the basic things (not killing your defense, maybe spreading the floor, giving additional ball handling, etc). Some guys are energy guys, they cause disruption for the opposition, deflections, increase pace, clean the glass, etc. Some guys can get hot and go off for big games. We get the point.
Marcus Morris' only means of actually exacting additional impact to a game is by making shots as well as having the ability to get hot in a game. Morris has had like one hot game this season in like the beginning of the season, and lately he's not making shots either, so he's 100% a grind on the happiness of fans since he doesn't do anything else at a level that would make anyone excited.
Yes we know we know
he's been slumping for 6 weeks
meanwhile teacher's pet T-Mann isn't doing squat either 5 pts 1 board 1 assist 2 TOs
PF is not the problem
the Pelicans hitting 58% of their threes is the problem
Kawhi shooting 4-16 is the problem
