Funny, Paolo was only 3 points away from his average numbers of 20/7/4 (all rounded).

How would you game plan for the team to just start hitting 3’s at 40%+

The Wizards are abnormally hot. That is what it is. They're likely going to cool off significantly in the 2nd half and if they don't, the Magic won't win the game.

I simply push back on this suggestion that some people make that 3 pointers aren't the biggest factor in a given game.

It's basically the only reason the Magic are losing this game.

The Magic have way more points in the paint. They're shooting WAY better from 2PT. The Magic are winning the turnover battle. Free throws are even. Rebounds are close enough.

The Wizards have been outplayed for the most part, but they've hit 11 threes and the Magic have hit 4.

What Orlando have seen in the last 4 games is that if they start taking more 3 point shots earlier in the game, that usually neutralize the other teams from making ridiculous shots. Orlando's average is 35% right? So, all it would do is balance out. Maybe we'll get lucky and we'll be the team actually hitting them at a ridiculous clip.

LeBron didn't get any triple doubles his rookie season either, and he was playing 40 mpg.

True but triple doubles weren't easy to come by during Lebron's rookie season.
Paolo had 3 opportunities to actually get a triple double, hopefully he'll get one within the 5 games we have left.

You’re not wrong that it’s the biggest swing factor, but it’s a swing factor because it’s tough to control. There’s a reason why basically 2/3 attempts miss. We just saw the team’s best 3pt shooter hit the side of the backboard and then airball his next attempt.

You said it yourself, the Wizards are abnormally hot. If we continue to play to our strengths which have kept us in the game and the Wizards regress to the mean in the 2nd half, then we win regardless of whether or not we improve our 3pt%.

Right now the only reason the team is in the game is because the player that gives you the most anguish is carrying us with elite 2pt efficiency. If we swapped him out for one of our shooters like Cole then this game wouldn’t be close. Like I said in that thread, young guys are more reactive to their misses.

But again, how would you get the team to just start making their 3’s in this half?

Kispert's line is hilarious.

0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 0 fouls, 0 turnovers, 0 free throw attempts, 0 two point attempts.

8-12 from 3PT for 24 points.

Shades of the Washington game at the end of the Doncic draft year but opposite. We played a bunch of scrubs and beat Beal and Wall, who were trying to make the playoffs.

I'm not quite sure what it is about this team that has Orlando's number. I mean, it doesn't even matter who is on the DC team, we just don't play well against them. I don't get it.
