Don’t care how many games it takes, the most important thing is to ensure we are healthy for the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Hawks strategy to attack the offensive glass against Miami worked. Counter to public perception, Boston the number one defensive rebounding team tho.

Not really a statistical oddity. It’s more that he’s referencing the wrong stats. Defensive rebounding % is possession-based. Shouldn’t be using raw totals for second chance points. Per 100 possessions, Celtics allow the sixth LEAST opponent second chance points.

EDIT: Checked again. Even on a per-game basis, Cs allow the 7th LEAST second chance points. Mr. Willis just read the column wrong.

Hmm I’m thinking because teams shoot relatively poorly against Boston they have a higher number of rebound opportunities on that end. So Celtics collect the highest percentage of those opportunities but in total still give up above average second chance points due to higher number of chances. Could be something else but that’s my guess there.

Will be interesting to see how effective Capela can be with Al stretching the floor. Atlanta is a fun team but the Cs should wrap this up in 5. My prediction is Hawks come in hot, take Game 1 and then we take the next 4

I can't imagine them coming out and laying an egg in game 1 to start the playoffs. That would be such a bad sign that I'm not even gonna entertain the thought.

My concern would be if/when we go up 2-0, the team might start looking past the Hawks and their focus starts wandering off.

Game 1 is the game to steal for the lower seeds in the first round usually (no research just how I feel like it is), I don't think there is anything catastrophic in losing game 1 but its just a prediction, obviously they're more likely to win it
