Scott Foster tonight :o

Team records this year with these refs (though not necessarily as the same crew):

Scott Foster
MIA 0-5 :o
NYK 4-2 (1-0 in playoffs)

Curtis Blair
MIA 4-1
NYK 0-3 (1-0 in playoffs)

Marc Lindsay
MIA 0-2 (1-0 in playoffs)
NYK 2-1

Were in control of our own destiny to be honest.
Game 5 in Milwaukee I said the refs will come on strong for Milwaukee since they want to keep the #1 seed in the playoffs and extend the series, however if we pull away and keep grinding through the game they would let off the whistle at some point and let basketball Gods decide. Which is exactly what happened, they kept them in it with the whistle come the 4th quarter they let us play our game finally.

What we cannot do is start the game 15 points back, because they will reward the more aggressive team and keep us from getting back into it.

In last year’s playoffs, we went 0-3 with Scott Foster, and this regular season we went 0-5.

Of the 3 playoff games we lost last year with Foster, one was Game 7 vs Boston, and the other two were Game 3s when we had 2-1 leads in the series.

Destiny!

Yeaaa......

We really don't.

If Jimmy is out, we have zero chance. In that case let Bam rest his hamstring, the'll both get a 1 week break till our next game, where we'll come back fresh and healthier, go all out and get 2 W's at home.

Since it's not as bad, even more reason for him to rest this game and get right for the rest of the season.

He was playing on one leg in the Boston series last year, he took shots to the knee before game 6 and 7 to mask the pain. Players play through injures all the time, I'm sure he'll somewhat limit his game to be safe if he has to.

Also, there's 3 days off after this game, he's got time to rest.

You can’t sit stars if they’re a little banged up but willing to play at this point. We’re underdogs and we need to keep that mentality, Bucks got cute (I think) with Giannis injury and it screwed them

You are 100% correct. You can’t be cute and try to game the system, Bucks tried to buy Giannis extra rest but all it did was make our guys more confident.

Luckily though the Heat generally aren’t the team to plays those kinds of games. If Jimmy doesn’t play tonight then it’s safe to assume that he can’t really move.

I hope that we see him out there tonight, even if he’s just gonna facilitate.

We've also seen guys tough it out and get a far worse injury. Butler sat games last playoffs against Hawks and Heat won. Heat are capable of winning game 2 without him and even if they don't, they have still have homecourt.
Spo isn't Bud. Switch them and Bucks win that series even with Giannis missing games. So I'm not worried about Heat collapsing if they loose this game. This team is pretty experienced. They were in ECF finals last year and a lot were in finals. I don't see us loosing this series unless Butler misses multiple games. The goal is finals and we will need Butler as close to 100 % in ECF to advance. Lets give him a game we can afford to, to heal up

I wouldn't mind them resting him tonight, we literally don't play until Saturday, thats a lot of rest for Jimmy. Its not like were gonna rest him for multiple game its 1 game, we already split the series and took homecourt. Also the Heat fan in me seeing our team play I believe we can really give them a competitive game without him. I think we could see a Bam for the ages type of game as the main guy. Bam may not be able to be a number 1 guy, but he can give us one of these special break out games in one playoff run.

If he plays I expect Bam to play top of the key, slow the game down and let Jimmy operate in the post. No cuts/ drives to the basket and no crashing the boards

He only sat out one game against the Hawks and we had a 3-1 series lead as the number 1 seed vs the 8 seed. And we also had Dipo to step into the starting lineup and pick up the slack. I'm not as confident that would go well this year without Dipo and Herro and against the Knicks on the road with a 1-0 lead. But I guess we might have to find out unfortunately.

Butler played through a bad knee in the ECF just last year, the last 2 he took injections in the knee to dull the pain and had incredible games. Players play through injuries all the time. People act ask if Butler and the Heat haven't been doing maintenance all season long on him to have him as healthy as he can be in the playoffs. If he goes either he's going to play a limited role tonight to limit hurting himself or if he's not worried about reinjuring himself (higher chance than normal) then he's just playing through some pain.

Will Spo allow this with a banged up Jimmy and if so will the Knicks just send non stop doubles when he touches? We shall see
