Voted for Jaylen, the best player on the court tonight even with 2 of the top 4 MVP candidates out there.

Nice to see a wake up game for Grant too.

Obviously JT is the problem
Trade him

Great game by Brown, Smart and Brogdon
White came back to life after 2-3 bad games
Grant played also great

Best defensive game of the season. Stay like this please

I loved how the C's were unafraid to go at Embiid throughout the 1st half. Tatum, Brown, and Smart kept attacking him, even though he got 5 blocks out of those encounters. Made the MVP work all night.

Great adjustments by Joe on both sides of the ball. Props to him for stepping up and making changes.

Team win. Exactly what we needed to get right.

Ultimately we are the better/deeper team and if we can just execute we should definitely take the series. The X factor would be Embiid since he's the best player in the series, but with him not at 100% we should be able to just overwhelm them.

Take game 1 in Philly and we take back the upper hand. Can't ignore the fact that the Sixers did what they needed to do here, get a split. Despite the blowout we are still on the back foot. Gotta press the advantage and get back control.

The defensive effort from Smart, Jaylen, and White was so much improved from game 1, that it’s almost hard to describe.

Also I think why everyone is so mad after dumb losses is that people know the team can deliver this kind of performance they just choose to **** around which makes it extremely frustrating

Tatum sucked and Friday Joel gets his MVP trophy..you know what I smell? I smell a 45+ piece from JT incoming.

Btw Joe going away from the defensive scheme helped a **** ton, didn’t it? Dude doesn’t have to be Phil Jackson out here..just don’t **** kill your own team with stupid schemes.

They played drop coverage all night tonight lol.

The only difference was Embiid being in and that they doubled him and put Smart on him at times. And played Grant more.

Drop coverage usually works when the guards fight over screens, which the Celtics had not been doing well since Game 2 vs. Atlanta.

I never mentioned drop though, I said scheme. They were more aggressive on switches, they didn’t double harden, didn’t let them get downhill and he had Jaylen pick up Harden basically full court all game. Was a much more aggressive defensive style, drop or not. Horford also switched on their guards a bunch of times compared to last game.

As someone who’s been extremely fair about Joe, games like this say nothing about him. His issues are feel for the game, especially in close games.

Good win obviously. Good to see they are capable of of playing D. 76ers will probably hit more threes next game. They next step is trying to figure out how to keep the 2 foul merchants off the line and force more turnovers.

I've said, dude needs a #2 guy, a former HC. Joe is 34 years old and he has like, what, 4 assistants left on the staff?

Losing Damon was not nothing. I know it sounds like Silas will be that guy next year, but I wouldn't hate some Brad "advice" for Joe after games lol

Said it in the game thread..Philly had 2 out of 4 games against Brooklyn where they didn’t crack 100. There is no reason why we shouldn’t hold these dudes under 105 basically every damn game in this series. To give up 120 last game and 40 to Harden was absurd. The Melton guy came in today and launched a corner three that was 4ft wide. That’s a mediocre offensive team.

Good news: Tatum played 19 minutes tonight. Tatum should have super fresh legs on Friday.

White and Brown 30 minutes
Smart 27 minutes
Horford 24 minutes
R Williams 22 minutes

All good stuff

The Tatum foul calls were so annoying btw. First one was a loose ball foul on a rebound opportunity, as far as I know, it was the only call like that of the game. That happens on every single play, so why call that one lol.

The first charge was legit I guess, still pretty soft considering what Embiid and Harden get away with. The second charge was a clear push in the back, and a flop by Tucker. The fourth one was legit though, and Harden milked the hell out of it lol.
