I'm confident , we had 2 bad quarters , 3rd quarter of game 4 and 1st quarter of game 5. Both can be solved by removing Love from the starting lineup. We need Gabe back or Lowry to actually give us something. Butler and Bam need to play much better. We aren't winning **** with Duncan as our best offensive weapon

What's the one major thing we had in common in both losses? We turned the ball over at least 27 times. I think we'll be okay if we take care of the ball, attack the rim, and rebound the ball. We cannot win if Jimmy and Bam are turning the ball over. Jimmy should know by now that he can't take pull up jumpers against Robert Williams!

Lowry and Jimmy passing up a ton of clean perimeter looks and Jimmy not taking advantage of the better 1-on-1 looks he gets allows the paint to just get tighter and tighter. Gabe was missed in this regard as he has been putting as much pressure on the defense as anyone off kickouts.

Of course he can. What he can't do is stand there staring at the basket for 3 seconds while Robert Williams inches closer and then slowly launch into a jumpshot where he clearly leaves the ground allowing an easy contest.

Robert Williams is not a boogeyman.

Nah guards are going to get him the ball wherever they can. Bam has to be stronger with the ball. It's one of the first fundamental things you learn as a big. Bam just can't handle any traffic so when they shade him with another defender he loses focus and they're just swiping at the ball. We could fix this 3 ways.
1. Bam needs to not allow himself to get pushed out so far on the block.
2. Bam needs to make more decisive moves. legit any times he does that its a positive result.
3.Guards need to get tf out his way. We overload the other side of the floor when Jimmy Isos. Need to do the same with Bam. Half of those turnovers were because whoever passed him the ball didn't relocate and allowed their defender to shade him.

This series is over. Jimmy talked and bullied the Celtics. But they stood up to the bully and just like any bully, Jimmy can’t handle the fact that they won’t just lay down and quit. Now Jimmy is shook and has no response.

Maybe it’s better that this series is over. Seeing us get swept in the finals, losing by 15+ each game would be disgusting.

Bam…well, Bam is just a role player getting paid like a super star. Duncan’s contract has more value than Bam’s right now.

The series is not over, but it will end for either team tomorrow night. Obviously if we win Boston is done. If we lose a 3rd consecutive closeout game (second try at home), I believe the pyschological weight of having to go back on the plane for a game 7 would be so heavy that the game would essentially be over before it starts. It's on Spo and this team to be ready to match the intensity of the Celtics from tip-off, especially Jimmy and Bam. We need to give the home fans reason to get on their feet and stay engaged. If we allow them to get going they will take the crowd out of it and be on cruise control. I'm going as far as to call this a legacy game for certain players on the team - at home, game 6..just get the f*cking job done.

Possibly or if Boston can get this to a 7th we may no longer feel the pressure of a closeout game, seeing as it wld be even & Boston wld then become the heavy favorites. Tables wld turn & we wld be playing w/ nothing to lose like Boston in gm4 & 5 or us the entire playoffs up until we went up 3-0 vs Celtics.

But we were never a consistent team, look at our regular season. This is who we are, we can beat anybody when we are on our game but we can also lose to the sorriest team in the league, this is our team and what we have to deal with, we were never supposed to be here and even if we are at the brink of making the finals doesnt change the fact that this is all a big overachievement. This is not a narrative VOLs its just the reality of our current team. Nothing we can do about that. Yes its very frustrating to be wasting opportunities, we might even lose the series but dont forget this team as currently constructed is not supposed to be fighting in the Conference finals much less reaching the NBA finals.
