I think it makes sense for a 1st time Head Coach, typically assistants do it for the experience but Griff doesn't have that experience. I'd guess this is the only year he does it

He probably also wants to get some hands on time to evaluate who he wants to bring to camp. Quite a few fringe guys here beyond the roster guys and 2 ways.

Being able to tell players that the HC was going to coach the SL team was probably a pretty good draw for players, too.

Is the camp roster still 20? With 15 roster spots and 3 2ways there would only be 2 open camp spots and 1 of them has already gone to Timme. Maybe one of these guys is hoping to catch on for the last spot or even the 3rd 2way if they really show out

Well, we haven't filled 15 roster spots, though.

Jon Horst find me at least one playoff level contributor for the minimum or else.

Idk man, at the end of the day Brooks is still an athletic 27 year old 6’7” wing with really good defense. I wouldn’t hate it.

Ingles to Orlando was agreed on as an unofficial part of the trade for the Jackson, Jr pick.

Brooks coming in thinking he's the second option would be hilarious.

How many second round picks are Orlando getting docked for collusion with Jingles?

Yes, he definitely needs to stop committing domestic battery and shoving officers. But he can kindly f-off and play for someone else.

Yeah, it would be a tough fit with our new coach. Oops.

Jrue Holiday and Dillon Brooks on the same team… I don’t know how much of that I could stomach.

Also lmao at Dillon Brooks “taking meetings” what on earth

That's what I'm thinking, seems like we're looking to trade for this type of guy every season so would be nice to get the guy on a bargain and save the future 2nds.

Ron Swanson wrote:"28-year old man seeks opportunity to mature" seems like a ringing endorsement for an NBA free agent. In other news, let's see what Dion Waiters and Lance Stephenson are up to. I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong.
Americans don't mature until their 30's now.

I'd take a shot at him

Does this mean anything? Are they clearing space?
