it's so crazy watching this man....as bad as these guys are they could go to any local pickup and dominate...makes you really think how good you have to be to even be a rotation player in the league....much less a starter....then when you're talking stars/all-stars/superstars that's a whole different level.....crazy

Yeah... despite us calling these guys scrubs and midgets, im sure in a weekend tourney thing they would wipe the floor with us.

-Slow
-Low BBIQ
-Decent touch on the shot
-Doesn't know how to set a screen
-Doesn't box out/find bodies
-Worse motor than Bamba

Quinndary Weatherspoon was a really good college player and has been really good in the G-League.

He just hasn't *quite* been able to hack it at the NBA level.

But like if you told me he was the 750th best basketball player in the United States, I'd buy it.

Yeah difficult to evaluate him with these limited minutes. At this point, he’s really just scrub quality— and it doesn’t help that he’s with a team that features all scrubs too.

Thank you, Magic organization for giving him a shot, even how little it was.

Next time don’t send 21 players in the Summer League, i think? At least do a proper evaluation for most of your players with good minutes for most of your key targets? LOL

Oh it was just an estimate. There's 30 NBA teams with 15 contract players and 3 two-way players, so that's 540 guys.

Weatherspoon is in that next giant group of probably 500+ guys who are all legit hoopers that would absolutely murder everyone at the local YMCA, but just aren't *quite* NBA caliber.

He averaged 25 PPG in the G-League and shot nearly 50% from the field for goodness sake. He can hoop.

Like a classic AAAA player in baseball.

I think DJ Wilson is on the g-league team that summer league coach dylan will be coaching this upcoming season so i guess he wants a long look at him? i believe he can't get a two way due to his age and experience, so him being out there is the coach's choice....i don't get it because he isn't league quality.....
