The PG rotation is Suggs and Black. The Magic need a combo forward and a combo big. They don't need Anthony.
Anthony and the DPE should (hopefully) tech Orlando's needs.

We were deep at center and have TDS to cover combo forward.

TDS is a borderline rotational player. He's older, so I don't expect a ton of development.

Seems like he can develop into a backup combo forward at a current cheap contract.

Sure if you can afford a Cam Johnson and Cam wants a bench role that’s a big upgrade.

TDS seems he could be serviceable as he develops.

Pretty sure Cam was 23 coming into the NBA...did he get better?

TDS is 23 years old and below average at everything.

He was an above average shooter from day 1.

I was thinking the same thing: we must be talking about different TDS’s. The one playing for the Magic seems pretty good to me.

TDS is pretty good tbh. Really few deer in headlight moments too, which is to be expected for someone with his experience going to the NBA.

Just a few more weightlifting sessions needed.

His decline needs to be studied. He's failed to develop under Mosley and was drafted before Mosley joined the team. Not a Mosley guard? I think that is fair.

Is there a work ethic issue? I mean his shooting splits haven't improved an inch.

2021: 40/34/83; 50 TS
2022: 39/34/85; 52 TS
2023: 45/36/89; 57 TS
2024: 44/34/83; 55 TS
2025: 39/30/79; 50 TS

I don't think he feels prioritized or valued and is a prime change of scenery candidate. He's currently 6th among guards in MPG.

On average 6th guards have shooting splits of 38/26/66; 48 TS

He's better than that.

Here are the average shooting splits by MPG rank just because I've been looking into this:

1: 45/36/83; 57 TS
2: 45/36/82; 57 TS
3: 44/35/80; 55 TS
4: 42/34/75; 54 TS

He should be a good enough shooter to be in an average guard rotation. There is value there for some team looking for a 9th/10th man with upside to be more than that, right?

I agree. If Cole is in his old self, he could easily be a force off the bench and a big asset for us. This season just doesn't seem right and he kept missing his shots, easy ones and three point shots. Is it that he couldn't get in his rhythm? Or his needs enough Playing Time? I really want Cole to be successful especially with our team of Franz and Paolo. I still wish him well. And I still believe he can contribute to winning.

Cole was a zero outside his TS. I think you have to also factor that. The guards you are comparing him too likely aren’t a complete 0.

You need consistent playing time to break out of slumps. Bench Black, and I could guarantee he'd easily out-produce him.

I think Cole’s time is done. He’ll have the occasional good game once every few weeks which give the fans some hope, but if we are serious about winning, he cannot be our main scorer off the bench.
