Make no mistake the Cowboys are and will always be my team. That doesn’t mean I don’t know they are also losers at this point. Also don’t confuse me with BJJ. He’s the loser that jumps teams whenever his team is losing. I’ve said that I pull for the Chiefs once my Cowboys are out. Have done that since I was a kid. But again, the Cowboys are still my team.

You’re just upset because your teams gets smoke by the Chiefs every time they play. It’s ok if the Chiefs are light years better than your favorite team and that Mahomes is approaching GOAT status. The Mavs don't win championships. They won one in their history, so Luka was reading the forums here and came across Mr. B's post and realized he wanted to play in LA, where they win championships, and told his agent to tell the Mavs front office he was going to sign with LA in the summer of 2026 and to tell LA that as well. Then Luka's agent also told the Mavs FO that they would also tell other teams they were planning on signing with the Lakers in the summer of 2026, so they knew they had little leverage, but should get what they can for him from the Lakers...so knowing they could get AD and a first, and would lose him for nothing next summer, they pulled the trigger.

AD has been trying to forced the Lakers to get them a 5 so he can play his natural 4 spot where the FO finally had enough of his selfish demands instead of doing what is best for the team. Now he can play the 4 with Lively at the 5 in Dallas while the Lakers get someone who specializes on doing this along with whining to the refs for calls 100% of the time.

Yea that trade is beyond crazy. The league needed Luka in LA to save the ratings.

It’s definitely a terrible trade but there are some positives. Defensively the Mavs are MUCH better after the trade. There’s also been legit concerns about Luka’s conditioning (or lack thereof) and the fact that he was due for a $345M extension this off season. That’s an awful lot for a guy that doesn’t like to stay in shape. The funny thing is he’s no longer eligible for that extension by being traded.

They still have the assets to make another move by Thursday’s trade deadline too.

The NBA and the NFL are not the same. Even if Luka wanted to walk he wouldn’t have been able to walk for free. Unless he was willing to leave about $100M on the table. He would only get his money in a sign and trade.

This trade was made because the NBA ratings have been even further in the tank and they need the Lakers to be good. The Mavs were lucky enough to get a good player in return that at least keeps them in contention for this season.

I highly doubt that as they are both Klutch guys and are very close off the court. What Lebron can't stand are whiney out of shape players who don't care about conditioning like he always been. Kidd can't stand Luka no D flops and constant whining yet love AD elite D when he was as assistant with the Lakers, so you can bet he is loving this move.

Yes, their fans would have felt great and had a great time watching them win 2 playoff games. Young ones might remember them 40 years from now. Experiences watching your team shape you as your fan.

For some fans, all they want to do is go brag on a message board about how their team won 5 Super Bowls 30-50 years ago and bash fans of teams who haven't won any. But for most, it's much more than that. But yeah, if you are a player, it's a big deal, so if you are a player I can see maybe that being the only thing that defines your contributions, though I'm sure some may define their careers in different ways, and teams they were on. But of course, to boil things down simply, everyone who makes the playoffs ends their season in a loss except for one, so there is obviously only one champion. Of course players can't jump teams like you and BJJ when they kicked knocked out so they can brag. But you are not telling anyone anything they don't know when you continue to state only 1 person wins the SB and everyone else doesn't ultimately achieve what their end goal. I think everyone over the age of 5 or so knows that.
