JB definitely was limping after one play the other night. I can’t see this not being a meniscus issue.

The few times the camera panned on JT, I didn’t love the body language.

No Jrue or JB, the only thing that will stop Paolo is himself shooting poorly.

If Tatum, Brown, and Holiday are out:

Starters: White, Hauser, Horford, Porzingis, Craig?

Bench: Pritchard, Kornet, Scheierman?, Queta?

or something like that. Joe Mazzula is never predictable in these situations, so there could be a big surprise in the starting 5. They'd have to shoot well and get help from some unknown bench player, but the Celtics still would have a decent chance to win.

Yeah, I'm already recalibrating what I think is possible. Less with JT and JH - whose injuries are hopefully short term things - than I am with Jaylen. If Jaylen gets shut down, we're in trouble.

I can see load management for Jrue because he played the entire 4th qtr. I didn’t see any point where he may have pulled a hammy.

JT and JB are definitely hurting.

If all three guys are out, this might be a night to lean into shot variance. Get up 60 threes and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't know how he's playing if he's got a meniscus tear. Or I don't know how much longer he'll be able to play if that's what it is.

Down 3 Starters, in the Playoffs?
No Bueno.

We could still Win this Game. The Series may go longer, as well.
But, IDK after that.

We need these guys.

The Celtics have added Jaylen Brown to the injury report for Game 3. He's questionable with the same knee injury he's been managing.

Brown wasn't on the injury before Game 1 or Game 2.

Jrue Holiday is still questionable. Jayson Tatum is still doubtful.

Maybe the 42 minutes in Game 2 wasn't such a great idea for Jaylen Brown. Isn't that why you signed Torrey Craig?

And PLAY a guy like Kornet who apparently needs to get some playoff 'yips' out of his system -- we want him ready to be useful in subsequent rounds.

My question is: What is up with Cole Anthony? Is he going to make an appearance? Is he in the doghouse or considered a liability in this series?

From what I saw, the Celtic defense forced the Magic coach to not play Cole Anthony.

I normally think of him as the sort of guy that could go on a heater at home. And I'm partly expecting that in G3 and/or 4. But he played 10 minutes in G1 and 5 in G2 -- and I'm curious why. Especially without Suggs, and without scoring -- feels like something might be crossed up between him and the ORL coaching staff? Do they not want him taking possessions away from their forwards, especially against Jrue and/or White? As recently as the play-in game, he was big for them.

I used to think of him as Colin Sexton’s twin but now he’s the bad identical twin.

Could be without JT, JB and Holiday? Yikes.
Man, I'm glad we banked those 2 home wins.

You know, I'm a big JD guy, but signing Lonnie Walker as the 15th man might've been a smarter move. Lonnie atleast provides a chance that a bench guy springs for 20 pts in this kind of situation.

OK I now have more Fuel for the Fire, and I am about to Blow. What is my main Complaint during the regular season? The Short rotation Joe does. I say we need to have more players ready in cases just like this. It's already tough enough that 2 starters are suffering from injuries that are or can be related to wear and tear in Jrue - Hamstring and J Brown with "Knee issues" and now players like Queta-Scheierman-Craig may have to step up in a key/Big role. Those players were often ignored on DNP list and didn't gain any extra experience yet will now have to "step up" in a playoff game??

Losing game 3 to Orlando will only serve to give Life and Momentum to a team like Orlando. Then what?? it's an all-out game 4?? on the road? who knows what can happen there. We have seen how Butler and Ja can be totally killed on a "fluky-dirty play.

Whatever. Nothing can be done now. But shet can happen and you have to be better prepared.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Celtics have essentially 6 Starters, with Horford.
So, we can survive the loss of 1 Starter.

Down 2 Starters long-term, would not be good.
Missing 3 Starters is tantamount to catastrophic, in the Playoffs.

Either way, they are Injured.
I'm one of those who wanted longer Rotations, early on.

Now WTH do we do?
Bring out Rusty Bench players?

Celtics Roster (Normally), 2024-25:
Starters: Holiday - White - Brown - Tatum - Porzingis
Rotation: Pritchard - Hauser - Horford/(Kornet)
Situational: Scheierman - Craig - Queta
Reserves: Davison - Walsh - Tillman
Two-Ways: Peterson - Norris

Potential Celtics Roster (Tonight), 2024-25:
Starters: Pritchard? - White - Hauser - Horford - Porzingis
Rotation: Scheierman - Craig - Queta - Kornet
Reserves: Davison - Walsh - Tillman
