Russell wasn't dominant at both ends.

too each their own but i dont think Howard has the same leadership skills or killer instinct that a Oden has i think oden is gonna be a the center of the next 10+ years. i mean offensively oden can create for himself way better and on the denfensice side he's better imo opinion more blocks and there rebounds wont be far apart.

howard is still so raw offensively to take his team anywhere in the playoffs.
but anyways i would take lebron over jesus.

Okay..Howard's so raw on offense..yet he's putting up 22.5 PPG on 60 from the field...I don't care how he gets it done, the man is flat out dominant.

Howard > Athleticism, especially now with Oden's knee.

Howard > Rebounding

You're making Oden seem like he's Hakeem out there, he's not THAT complex on offense, and his sheer explosiveness isn't as high as Dwight's.

He will be more like a more polished version of Okafur, which is pretty damn good...but he will never tough Dwight.

Agreed, even when Oden comes back he won't be as good as Dwight. D12 is on another level right now and it's scary to think that he is still so raw.

I'd take Lebron and call it a day.

TJ's quickness + Lebron's ability to break down the defense + the best shooters in the league = unguardable.

I don't actually think you want a ball-dominating point with LBJ and, going the other way, playing with LeBron would reduce TJ's ability to contribute with his strengths. With LBJ, in whose hands you want the ball much of the time, you want a point who can defend and shoot.

ie, not so much TJ's type.

They don't call you a king if you're second best.

No contest on this one.

Just curious: would you take Ewing or David Robinson over Jordan?

No, but I would take Wilt, Hakeem or maybe Kareem.

Who is this Greg Oden kid?

Has he even played one game yet? I find it hilarious how many people are quick to give him hall of fame status and he hasn't even played a game yet

Nobody wants to win as bad as MJ that's why no one is more valuable doesn't matter the era.

Michael Jordan's will to win is greater than any other player which in turn makes him way more valuable than any other great.

I don't agree. His will to win was no greatyer early in his career when his teams were sub .500 and he was getting swept each year in the playoffs. His will to win didn't change after he got Pippen and Gratn/Rodman et al, but his winning did.

And I wouldn't say his will to win was greater than, say, Larry Bird.

Sure. I put money on MJ always wants the big shots, usually makes them.

You do have to learn how to win in the playoffs something he most certainly did. 6 championships.

fwiw, in my forum mock draft (build a franchise with 30 teams), howard went first, paul second, and lebron third. this takes into account all on court play, off court demeanor, marketability, everything.

Lunacy on the part of the first two guys. Noone combines on court play with marketability like Lebron. I mean its not even remotely close to being a contest.

At this point, Kaman's play is close to Howard. Clearly Howard has a much higher ceiling, and may very well be the next Shaq. Not the next Hakeem mind you, as they have fairly different skillsets.

Bron tho...if he wants to win a game, hell win a game, its quite as simple as that. Getting to the finals with your 2nd best player being...what, Big Z? Drew Gooden? Varejao? I mean...come on.

Lebron's a once every 10 years type talent, he's that good.

Give me Lebron.
