i agree.

IMO there isnt a major drop in talent from 4 to 10. all those players are major question-marks. 1-3 are major question-marks too actually.

What is that opinion based on?

I'd rather keep winning.

It has nothing to do with Isiah, or any of the players.

It has to do with being a Knicks fan.

So you'll be satisfied with 34 wins for the next decade?

Hell no, when did I say I was satisfied with not winning.

Some of you guys got it twisted that because a fan wants the Knicks to win, we have some sort of agenday.

Yet the ones who want us to lose are the path to the light.

If I'd start hoping for losses, I'd just rather quit being the fan of the team. And no, wouldn't be satisfied with 34 wins for this, next or year after.

On this note the Heat pick up the 2nd pick (Wolves land top pick) drafting Derrick Rose for a Rose/Wade/Davis/Haslem/Shaq lineup.

Or would you rather see the Knicks continue to lose every game, end up with the second pick overall, Timberwolves landing the top pick.

While I'd love to see us get a top 3 pick i can't bring myself to root for my team to win, but that's kind of irellevant as far as your original question is concerned.

What I'd really love to see (I've said this many times over the past month or so) is for IT to have the balls to fire himself as coach. I'd like tgo see us trade Curry, Marbury (although that won't happen now) and Richardson, and I'd like to see CHandler and Morris see a lot mnore minutes. If Morris and Chandler can turn out to be players I'd like to know before the draft.

In other words, while I don't want to tank the season, I c oncede that this year is a lost cause and that we may as well start rebuilding right now. The problem is that I'm noty sure if we're playing poorly becuase of the mix of players or becuase IT stinks as a coach (or botth) If it's the latter I don't trust IT to start rfebuilding.

If this doesn't answer your question please let me know.

Ideally, I'd like to see the Knicks be competitive, improve on deficient areas (which is pretty much every statistical category, if you look at RealGM Knicks main page), and lose every game on a last second shot.

This team needs a legit star... there isn't one on this roster, nor will one emerge from this roster. At best, this team has a few fringe All Star talents and htt' s being way too optimistic.

***

And fim, NOLA is awesome. I'm having a great time here... this city is truly unique and a place I think I needed to come. I can't explain why, but just being here has made me a happier, more complete person.

School is going great... I found my finance niche(s). I've really taken to private equity and am starting to get into real estate development.

So, everything is gravy.... or alternatively put, the exact opposite of the Knicks outlook.

Did you tie the knot yet or is that coming up?

The knot has been tied since August 12th, the marriage was in Chicago in the Wyndham hotel on Mannheim road. Thanks for asking. :)

I agree with your and SC assessment. I want to win games, but I don't see that happening, so the idea is to lose now and win in the future. When the dominate teams are already past their prime, i.e. Spurs, Celtics, and Pistons.

I know it's a bit late, but congrats buddy!

I'm actually going to be my college roommate's best man in Chicago this Memorial Day at the Hotel Sofitel in Chicago... I've never been and am definitely looking forward to it.

You should check out "the bean" in Chicago if you have time. Congrats and best of luck.

It is comical to me that so many of the people that say we suck actually seem to be terrified that perhaps we don't and for the next 40 something games we can actually have a decent record (we have to go 22-22) to get to 34 wins.
.

I am terrified that we will keep Isiah around and he will continue to make horrible moves that set us back for years. 34 wins might do that.

isnt that what we thought the past four offseasons?

last year we finsihed well and until injuries hit certian fans thoguht wed make the playoffs and it was wait till we are healthy a whole year

each year at the end of the year people thoguht this teams headed in the right direction..

so after another mid 30's win season people are still gonna buy the same bs that next year will be when everythings soemhow different??

so whats the battlecry gonna be for next year?

thsi is the year we will not wait 40 games to give a shyt?

Yeah, i thought after we sucked this year that just about everyone (including Dolan) would realize that maybe we need to go in a different direction. Especially after all the playoffs or bust talks. And it did. But all it takes is a little sign of hope, a 3 game winning streak, 20 games of .500 play, and hope emerges.

its pretty much the same thing every offseason. Similar battle cries to talk. xxx (LB, Francis, Marbury) wont be around. We are getting xxx (Jeffries, Randolph, Artest, any draft pick even 2nd rounders). Bad coaching, its not the players! Another year of chemistry and growth. From day xxx to day xxx we played well so we will carry that to next year! (doesnt just about every team go on some type of hot streak at some point every year?). then of course there's always one random excuse. xxx (injuries, fights, LB tanking, fans booing, refs throwing games, the media) happened. Of course no other team goes through these things. only the Knicks
