That's not even the best Mets forum (as you can see 30 people viewing).

Try NYFS, the best mets site / forum out there.

 Enjoy it while it lasts.

I have no problem with Mets fans coming over and ribbing us, please don't call them trolls. Just let them enjoy it while it lasts.

Nys, he was feeling a lil lonely so we came over to give him a hug.

Yes.

Oliver Perez sure was impressive . Nice move by Omar. He reminds me of a Randy Johnson lite. He doesn't throw as hard as Randy, don't have as wicked a slider as Randy, but they are still two very good pitches and that's why I call him Randy lite. He's young as hell too. I watched his last outing too, I forget which team, when he pitched his 2 hitter.

He just needs to be more consistent. Of the two young pitchers on your staff, Oliver Perez is the one who has the biggest chance to keep up what he is doing. John Maine is not half as good as Oliver Perez.

just when I thought you weren't gonna have a backhanded slap to Maine

I was down on Ollie and never though he would revert back to his former self. But The Jacket fixed him up ... you should see whenever Ollie throws the ball in a different arm slot you can hear The Jacket hounding his ass. Yes Ollie can be the ace of this staff for years to come with Maine and hopefully Pelfrey can regain his confidence. Can't believe we got him for Xavier Nady. Anyways see ya tomorrow ... I never had a good chance to look at Darrle Rasner, I know he has a curveball so Beltran will have a tough time facing him.

btw Ollie's 2 hitter was against the overrated Brew Crew.

Props to you for keeping your head. And yes Perez is doing his thing. I wouldn't say that Maine isn't half as good. He obviously doesn't have the same stuff but I think overall, he might be the better pitcher.

you know why I'm frustrated is because they have a mod over there who targets me if I sneeze wrong, yet these guys can't come correct to this board insult Yankees fans and are talking crap instead of the game. But w/e I'm letting it go I just wanted to show examples of the BS that goes overthere.

I said we'll have trouble this series the Mets are a very good team , but they score runs , their pitching is on point , they have life we don't. Oliver Perez made one mistake and Pettitte made a bigger one. That still doesn't excuse the late inning hitting, these Yanks get hit in the mouth and just don't respond and Jetes striking out looking, Giamroid, Bobby atleast Alex hit the ball hard off Wagner in the 9th, but we have serious problems.

I am just not sold on John Maine. He has one good pitch... his fastball, which he can dial up to 94. That's his only plus pitch.

All his offspeed stuff... his slider and his changeup... they are very fringy and average pitches. His command is pretty awful too.. he has walked almost 5 batters per 9 innings.

Oliver Perez, on the other hand, has two PLUS pitches. He throws a hard fastball that is not straight and he has a filthy slider. His two pitches are much better than anything Maine has.

Oliver Perez has the stuff to be a front of the rotation pitcher... I do not believe Maine does.

I was down on Ollie and never though he would revert back to his former self. But The Jacket fixed him up ... you should see whenever Ollie throws the ball in a different arm slot you can hear The Jacket hounding his ass.

Really? He went sidearm once, does Peterson not want him doing that?

[quoteYes Ollie can be the ace of this staff for years to come with Maine and hopefully Pelfrey can regain his confidence. Can't believe we got him for Xavier Nady. Anyways see ya tomorrow ... Darrel Rasner is nothing special... he has good command and a good curveball with an average fastball. He's #5 starter material... I expect the Mets to beat him up. This should be a bullpen game..

I agree with you here. I think you should send a PM to mjhp911 and calmly discuss the situation with him. I LOVE it when you post on the Mets board, I think it's hilarious the back and forth banter between us fans.

cmaff051 ... sometimes against the lefthander, Perez usally drops his arm slot and The Jacket doesn't want him to do that.

That game where Perez through 7 walks his arm slot was 3 quarters, overhand, sidearm, and almost submarine.
