are u using 82games.com's close shot percentage? cause 49% sucks, compared to harris' 55%. and did u miss the part where he shoots 43% against harris for his career? why isn't he posting up putting up 49% type games?

salmons and posey at 35/36 3's is good!!

and again, pietrus is a 41% shooter for 9ppg, im not worried about him, at all. u want to put him in a non role player role, thats better for me.

hamilton is an off the ball player, im not doing anything special about him. salmons is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, not top tier, but very good. not worried.

and defense of lma, i have przy who practices against him every day, what should i be worried about? his jumpshots? biedrins is more than capable too.

deng is a shell of a former self right now.

deng/davis/camby/JO, your team would be pretty good 3-4 yrs ago.

and whats up with bringing posey's team record against melo's team? i don't think u want to go that route with a 2 time nba champion. its an irrelevant point that doesn't suit you against a championship winning player.

If you watch Davis's game, he has a tendency to shoot and attempt to take over the game himself when nothing else is working. Reason for the low percentages is cause Davis is generally on a sh*tty team. Add great players around him, and he won't shoot as much.

Saying Salmons is one of the best perimeter defenders is a joke. If Salmons is one of the best, then Camby is GOAT defensive player.

dcash vs denied

both teams have players that have concerns for the upcoming season, but after reading the writeup and rebuttels im going to have to give this match up to dcash evn though he is starting Posey.

Gremz Vs Sambone
Well i do have a bit of a bias in this match sambone put together a great team for this being his first time, and i do believe that the veteran experience as well as the young talent he has can take out gremz in 7 games

RESULTS: some double checking would be appreciated, i might have missed a vote.

winners:

vincecarter4pres wins with 6 votes (miller, cellar, poop, ice, knickfan, gremz) over hoffa's one (sambone)

dcash wins with 7 votes (miller, sam, poop, ice, vc4p, hoffa, gremz) over denied's 2 (cellar, knick)

poop wins with 4 votes (sambone, ice, vc4p, gremz) over bness' 2 (knicks, denied).

waiting for more votes: gremz (miller, cellar, vc4p, denied) and sambone (poop, ice, knicks, hoffa) are tied at 4. i didn't vote, and i won't be breaking the tie for what would be my opponent. we'll wait 24 hrs for this one.

I don't know where Bness has been, but I'm glad I got to participate. (He originally had wanted us to be co-coaches of the team, and I said I'd be an assistant. Look how that worked out.)

Anyways, congrats to poop. Great discussion going and good luck in the next round(s). Though I don't believe your defense is good (or even average), I think in real life the series would probably come down to how well Ginobli does.

I obviously did not vote. Since Bness has been away and dcash is sissing out, I can be the tie breaker if you guys want.

I would vote for Gremz. (Again, you might only need this if none of those guys vote)

can you guys at least give me the respect of telling me why I lost? I know it is my first time and I can not join the all mods vote for eachother club. But can you at least tell me why you voted against me?

You started Rudy Gay, Pierce and Jamison together, with the regressed Chris Kaman at center.
Your team basically had two SFs and a PF who should be a SF, and though you could score, the team didn't flow well, that's why I voted for Gremz, his team, might not have been as flashy, but was built well.

And if you think there's some kind of mod club, I don't know what to tell you, Gremz isn't a mod, and trust me when I say this, I don't like voting for Cellar... and i'm positive Dcash and Gremz hate voting for me.

^Not only that, but Cellar and Miller didn't even vote on our bracket at all.

I got two mod votes for a grand total.

If this is a conspiracy, its a pretty weak one....

sorry if it canme across as that, I do not think it was a consperacy and Gremz is not a mod. I was simply looking for an explaination (like I was told we had to provide) for why people picked Gremz over me. I thought I backed everyone's rebutals with FACTS, and was looking for why I lost.

I know it was my first time and I do not have the friendships that others have in this game. Gremz had a good team (I think I should have won, but no hard fealings). I was looking for the respect to be told why I lost, thats all.

The mods sticking together was in response to the post on the other bracket, and it dawned on me that they all voted for eachother. Again that has nothing to do with my matchup, just an observation.

No sour grapes, and I did enjoy this. I put in alot of time looking up factual info (like Jameson plays PF in real life, PP has logged minutes at SG and the Celtics list him as a SG/SF. Gay surprisingly has good defensive rankings, Rondo is 2nd all NBA defensive team even though others say he isn't good defensively, Rondo owns Bibby in head to head matchups. The only time Roy tried to guard Pierce he got torn apart) I knowstats do not tell the entire story but they are factual, not opinions. And I know this is an opinion voting game.

Sorry again if i upset anyone by my comment, I did not mean it that way. Good luck to all that have advanced, I hope I am still allowed to vote, and hope to be invited back again

I think I voted in everyone's matchup except poop and bness. I haven't had time to look at that matchup, but I voted on all the other matchups in this bracket, and I didn't vote in my own. What I did was post one vote, and then edit that post. It should be on page 2.

I understood what it was in response to.

First of all, that remark was a joke.

Second off, I genuinely believed in the matchups that I voted for without regard to anything else, and I'd really appreciate it if my integrity wasn't questioned in that regard.

I'd say that certain posters didn't vote so or did so verrrry late so that no one would be mad that they were voted against by the poster and in turn get voted against by that same poster. Most of the people I voted against returned the favor.

Not saying it was in direct retaliation for me voting against them but I think next time I'll refrain from voting next time, or wait until the last second.

Still I don't want to be a sour loser I respect the posters here and good luck and good job to everyone that is advancing to the next round.

i'd really hate if that were the case. perhaps sending in votes privately will be a change we can make for the next round.
