What sucks is this franchise can't get good players unless we draft them and then groom them, and then coddle them up till contract extension time. Takes a long time.

Some of your morons are extremely lucky that the mods here allow free speech. If I had the ability to, I'd ban every single one of you tools that wait until a bad game and spew your ignorant, baseless hate. If you had any balls you'd be consistent in your shtick instead of saying nothing when Bosh is hitting clutch shots and playing out of his mind, and then coming out of the woodwork after the Raptors have a bad stretch. Bosh is 26 years old and one of the best big men in the league. Wake the **** up you douchebags.

So a core of Bargs/Turk/Jose is what this team needs?
I'd rather just get rid of jose/turk and bargs and find some good defensive players than let Bosh walk.
I kind of hope Bosh does leave, that way he'll go no with a team like the Bulls who have a perfect supporting cast for him and he'll contend over there.

+1 pretty much.
I didn't hear any of this nonsense when Bosh was putting up crazy numbers before his injury and we were winning.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

doesn't matter if you are good or not, if your heart is not with the team, the team winning and losing wont even matter, just your numbers and statistics so other teams can see how you do.

That's not what he's doing. He has spoken about the playoffs and ow excited he is for them numerous times. He has said that they need to start thinking of every game a s a must-win.
Players who "stat-pad" do it at the detriment of their team and for their own benefit. That's not what Bosh is doing. You're just looking through some hater-coloured glasses.

You said it right there, the raps were winning. How stupid would someone look calling out Bosh during a win streak or good stretch of games. This thread was started now because after the poor play, maybe other people will see it his way.

Re: The Truth About Chris Bosh
Bosh the player is worth $21M, according to both market value and his play when compared to other players around the league. There's, what, 450 players in the league? Bosh should be paid in the top 2%, since he's a top ten player.
As a Raptor, he is not worth $21M. The track record of success just isn't there to tempt me/Colangelo into keeping the nucleus together at an even higher cost than what is being spent on the roster currently.

bosh doesn't deserve to be bashed. what i'm suggesting is that if you really want to rebuild, you can't keep bosh around. he's had a longer tenure than even vince carter and has only made the playoffs twice and has never advanced. instead he's been part of a bunch of mediocre teams. is he a great player, yes. but the fact is, he hasn't been the type of guy to take his TEAM to the next level. if you really wanna rebuild this team, it might be wise to just let him go because his frustration with this team has already built up and it can't be good for the future and it's not like any of the raptors teams have been great with him.
if it were up to me, however, i would keep bosh, bargs and amir as the bigs. what i think really needs a change is the wing players. most of them are mediocre and none of them can play d. jose needs to go. turk needs to go. wright. belinelli, (although i think he should've been given more of an opportunity. there were times wright was absolutely useless and he still got pt.) jack could be a solid backup. and derozan is still young and weems is solid, so i wouldn't mind keeping those two around. but really, i've always hated the fact that people blamed bargs for our crappy d, without even acknowledging the fact that the main culprit is the perimeter players. hell, remember last year when we had marion and parker? we weren't the greatest defensive team, but we were a hell of a lot better than we are now.

Myay sound like an excuse but Chris Bosh looks like he's playing hurt. No elevation and little to no explosiveness. He is shooting way more jumpers now than before too, that means injury imo

He just turned 26. Entered his late 20's. He's on the downhill. He needs to develop his post game because he won't be able to drive for fouls as he gets older.

WTF is the Bucks & Bobcats secret then?
Their sh*tty players play defense. Our sh*tty players do not.
Our good players don't even play defense.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

FireColangelo wrote:Bosh is not a franchise player, not even close. Nothing has confirmed that since I've been watching him.
Here's Bosh, he either:
1.) Takes a 50/50 jump shot
2.) Takes it to the rim (very weakly)
3.) Commits a turnover
That is worth 21 million? Hahahah... Yeah, the man can rebound, big deal. He only looks golden because our other big is trash.
I can't remember the last time I saw Bosh block
He's $10 million/year player.
Seriously?
His TO rate is quite low for a player with high usuage. It's generally 2.0 per game over his career and it's a big reason why the Raps are almost always near the league lead in lowest TO rate.
If you think he takes it to the rim weakly then you're a fool since he's been in the top 10 in FTA's for the past 6 years and has been in the top 1-2 for all big men every one of those seasons. He's clearly not afraid to take it hard and draw contact. You might want to compare that free-throw rate our other starting big man for comparison.
And he's an excellent shooter. 50/50 on jumpers is actually a solid rate for any scorer but you seem to be implying that it's not.
There are definitely things you can find to criticize Chris Bosh for, you just happened to pull a list of all the the things that don't qualify. Pretty amazing feat actually.

Re: The Truth About Chris Bosh
Bosh like any second tier star player has his moments, but needs the RIGHT talent around him to succeed... He could be the best player on the team, but the second/third best players on the team, would need to be very close in talent for a team to succeed....... Bargnani/Turkoglu aren't close in this regard, and don't fill any of the complimentary roles required while playing with a guy like Bosh......
Honestly, it would have to be a Detroit Pistons type of lineup for Bosh to win a championship AND be the best player on that roster.....

Re: The Truth About Chris Bosh
This thread had to be bumped after seeing this wiretap.
"“I can’t instill it in guys,” Bosh said. “You have to have it on your own; as much as I would like to, as much as I would like to do everything, you can’t do everything.
“Personally, you have to bring something to the plate. Whatever gets guys going, we need to find it.”
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. More deflecting blame, when will Bosh realize it starts from the top down. You expect Sonny Weems, Calderon, Turk to change the course of this team? NO, this is suppose to be boshs team. Going to media complaining about your players, when you are doing diddly squat is inexcusable. Honestly I can't wait for this guy to get out of town.
