They will, they're just trying to stick it to us by waiting the three days. It doesn't matter, I LOVE the way Babby is approching this.

We all agree, there's going to be some nights where the Suns are going to struggle to score, especially with Nash being in LA. But you will ALWAYS be competitive when your very good defensively (ask the Spurs).
So give me Dragic, Mayo, Rush & Lee any day.
Plus it would be much easier to convince the Thunder to trade JHarden/Perkins for Gortat/Mayo during the season imo..

Eric Gordon is every single one of those things you just listed, and is better than those players you listed.

No, I think there is something there. You go from "we will definitely match" to "no comment" - it shows a weaker new position, which speaks volumes about what is likely happening behind the scenes.
Their front office never said that they will match the offer. Not before he hit free agency and not after he received the offer sheet. So we don't go from "we will definitely match" to "no comment". Every reporter out there says that they will match the offer. Woj, Kennedy and Aldridge are the best reporters and they said it. Now, only because their GM said "no comment" they changed their attitude and will simply let an all star caliber shooting guard at the age of 23 go? There's no way in hell. If we get Gordon, free to give me your paypal account name, I gladly give 100$.

There fixed!
I agree that he is but he's not a max player. He's not long (6'3 in a good day) and he has the potential to be light DWade or a Penny Hardway.

I find it hilarious how Babby's being so patient. The fact is, Babby's the least intimidating man on earth and Babby has the Hornets exactly where he wants them.

I'll take that money. Can I get a witness on this? Saving this page. Gordon will be a Sun.

Eric Gordon has a wingspan of 6'9" and a standing reach of 8'3".

EXACTLY! Not only that, he's making the Hornets a less desirable destination every second that passes by. Who the hell trades their only PG in their roster and makes a rookie who's never played PG in whole life. Then gives Ryan Anderson 9 mil a year but in January they where offering EJ only 10 mil a year. Really? Are those move supposed make EJ want to stay or leave? No wonder why EJ wants to leave NO.. And we're the delusional fans lol
Have you seen what the Magic will potentially get for Horward? The Suns can way more than what they might get. But the Hornets want to start with Gortat/Dudley/Morris and then they'll pick up the phone.. Are we talking about LBJ or EJ?? I guess Dreaming is free

Gordon will not be a Sun, just ask his agent.... Also ask his agent will Mayo be a Sun

So lets move on and decide on keeping Chill or getting Redd. My guess is they make Chilly play for some of his money.
Dragic/Marshall/Telfair
Mayo/Duds
Beasley/Chilly
Kief/Frye/Warrick
Gortat/Lopez
Very young and athletic, besides Dudley. We can see how everyone grows and go from there. In-season trade of Warrick and Telfair may be in order. If Lopez continues to grow, then a mid-season Gortat trade could bring a high pick and more cap relief

Since we couldn't pull off a sign and trade for EJ, I'm cool with Mayo. Hopefully it's not too much more money wise than the beasley deal. Maybe 4/25.

I have been looking at everything being said by all parties involved. That statement was the first movement from the party line in NO. Not sticking to the party line and give two quick burst statements "no update" "no comment" shows a lot to me. I am a trained negotiator, so I read a lot into what people say and don't say.

Well just don't set yourself up for a potential let down. Low expectations in sports = less disappointment but with all of the thrill if there is success.

Put simply, the Suns need to be in the asset collection phase of the rebuild. That's followed by the consolidation phase. That's a rebuild ladies and gents.
I LOVE Blair. Trading for him would also allow us to retain his Bird rights - which I wan't in a bad way. Blair plays more like a C than most C's nowadays. I get that he's short, but if you watch him play those fears are short lived. I would trade the Lakers 2013 1st and PHX's 2013 2nd. And I'm not kidding.
Luis Scola. We can add a 17ppg scorer to this team for change, and you guys think there is a decision to make? Don't think of this as our attempt to be mediocre, think of it as us acquiring assets.

For me personally, I love the situation the Suns are in. Either way, we do fine. If N.O. doesn't match, we get a potential superstar for nothing but the max. If they match, we look elsewhere for a cheaper alternative (most likely OJ Mayo). The only way I'd be even slightly disappointed is if we overpay for someone just because we lost out on Gordon, but I'm confident Babby won't do anything like that.

As a note on Scola's potential amensty, if my math is right the minimum bid for him off waivers is $3,012,784 - for ALL three remaining seasons on his contract. That's $1m per year. That's an asset.
This is somewhat more complicated because of the ung. year in his contract, but I don't know what the performance metrics are so I'm keeping it simple.

Yep, it is an easy sell for a guy like Sarver. Just see how good things went for the Clips when they got Billups for peanuts last season.
Besides the low cost, we don't have to use any assets to get him. Those other assets could be packaged with another player to upgrade at another spot.
I like Blair a lot, so much so, that it chaps my hide to know we gave that pick to the Spurs, and he would have been awesome for when Amare went down or later leaving, which he did.
Then I added in that Scola played well with Goran, and has a deeper range than Blair.
