It's kind of scary how good he is at this point in his career.

I'm honestly more scared he's gonna plateau and stay there next year.

I'm not too worried about that. He's smart and a hard worker so I expect him to continue to improve his game. And there's room for improvement in several aspects of his game - 3 pt shooting, rebounding, fouling, adding more post moves, etc. He should get more minutes as well. Plus he will continue to get physically stronger.

I think he'll progress, but not at some crazy rate, simply because he's already doing almost everything so well.

The biggest things he needs to work on are strength to battle big centers in the post, passing (gets to wild sometimes), and in general team defense. Strength should easily come with time. In two years he won't get pushed around by the Whitesides or Drummonds anymore. His sometimes wild passing should be refined with time. He is trying to make the home run play sometimes. Those will be toned down as the game slows down for him even more. More experience in big NBA games should help too. His all around defense is good for a 19/20 year old. It could be better with his tools. Again this is just an experience thing. Getting to play with KG all year and have him around should help him grow. I don't see any weaknesses outside of that. He has all these tools and he is a hard worker who seems dedicated to being the best he can be. I see no reason to worry about his game peaking at 21 years old. That happens to guys like Tyreke Evans and OJ Mayo. Not guys like Anthony Davis or Tim Duncan.

KAT is a year younger than rookie Tim Duncan. Go compare their statistics per minute. Now tell me how worried you are about him peaking.

With a new coach, Karl Anthony-Towns is going to thrive. All he needs are more touches.

But, as bad as the Wolves are right now, it's a good bet that they will improve at a rate faster than any team in the league, simply because Towns is that much better than his peers. When you combine the development of Towns and Wiggins with the right additions to their roster—Minnesota could draft another lottery-grade player this year or deal the pick for a high value veteran—the Wolves are primed to make a drastic leap in just one offseason. LeBron's rookie year was the only time in his career that his team has finished below .500. In 15 years, we might be saying the same thing about Towns. That only seems like an unfair comparison if you haven't seen Karl-Anthony Towns play.

Great player. Already. His passing/vision is incredible for someone his age/experience/size. I watch Porzingis a lot, too, and he's totally bananas - he can pass, too, FFS! But this BIG KAT kid is something else, as well. Remember, the 'Big Smooth'? Somebody's nickname - was it Perkins? But that's what KAT is. Too bad that name has been taken. He's big as ****, and smooth like silk. Just a kid.

That was a comparison I remember hearing around draft time and it's pretty accurate.

This guy will make up for all the Jonny Flynn's, Wes Johnson's, Derrick Williams', Randy Foye's, Corey Brewer's.. He's legit.

I was a great Towns supporter before the draft, but he is even better I could imagine.
All the good thing in his game translated to NBA and in top of that he has deep range and court vision, someway expected but not certains before the draft.
Great props to his dad, KAT has amazing fundamentals.

That would be pretty disappointing.

Wasn't talking about talent level, just watching him on offense, Specifically his shot form.

Just so everyone is on the same page, he means Sam Perkins, not Kendrick.

Haha that point of confusion didn't even come into consideration for me.
