Mobile 7'2 and his per minute production looks VERY impressive. He leads an ACB team in PER (25.1) with 21.3/8.4/2.1 blk per 40 minutes on .70 TS%. One of the most efficient players in the ACB. He turned 21 in December but I think for his age not many bigs have been that productive against that competition.

Such an interesting prospect. I'm so torn on him. I don't want the Porzingis high to get into my head and put him over just because he's another skinny Latvian big man with range. Then again, he's perfect for us because he can be a stash candidate with through the roof potential.

He looks interesting. First time seeing him, reminds me of Alexis Ajinca a lil bit.

Maaasssaaaiii!!!!!!!!!

I seriously love our GM. He just needs to hit on one of these damn first round picks once. Just once. The draft, outside of the top 5, can be a total crapshoot. But having so many first round picks has to increase the odds of drafting a difference maker. Rabb or Giles(if able to regain his health) would be absolutely perfect for us. I've also been sleeping on Bryant this year. The guy can shoot for a big man!

With CP3 and blake injured - there is a possibility that LAC start slipping, does that pick look more enticing to teams at the trade deadline? Hopefully Atlanta

I'm all in favor of drafting one big man as a draft and stash if Masai keeps all the picks. This guy or Jeanne are good long term prospects for a team that can afford to take a chance and wait it out.

We need to start a convo on Marques.

Height (w/ shoes): 6-11
Weight: 250
Wingspan: 7-6
Standing Reach: 9'4.5

As impressive as Allen's measurements are, Bolden's are perhaps just as jaw-dropping. Already bigger than exceptionally long multi-college season NBA players like Cole Aldrich and JaVale McGee, few players in our database share Bolden's combination of length and strength. He has some work to do on his frame, but given he has one of the top-20 or so wingspans and standing reaches ever recorded in our database, it isn't hard to guess what makes Bolden such a highly regarded recruit and long-term prospect. From a sheer height and length perspective, Bolden is most similar to DeMarcus Cousins who was measured at 6'10.75 in shoes with a 7'5.75 wingspan at the 2010 NBA Draft Combine, albeit with a heavy 292-pound frame he's cut weight from in the NBA.

I know people always throw around the idea of trading up in the draft when you have two first rounders but this year couldn't be any more necessary.

There's no way two rookies can enter the rotation next year. We've either got to trade one of the two ( more likely) or trade the two picks for something around the 12th and after.

Issac is our guy!!! He won't be there when we pick but that's exactly what we need at the 3 spot. He could be Kawhi! I'd trade up for this guy if I was the Raptors. He's the perfect complement to two scoring guards.

OG got injured last night too. He was a guy on my radar. Could be a blessing in disguise as the injuries causes him to drop to us or he doesn't enter. We'll see...

He'll be long gone by the time our first pick comes along. Isaac is a lotto pick and ranked 9th right now on Draftexpress.
I also think his slim and lanky frame for a small forward makes him a little more like a Tayshaun Prince than another Kawahi(who has football shoulders).
I'd be thrilled to trade up for him, but I don't expect any trading up to be that drastic. Maybe move up 4-6 spots at most. Masai's tenure here has been largely characterized by under the radar moves, except in circumstances where teams have drastically undervalued their own assets while overvaluing ours eg. Bargs trade, Vazquez trade.

I think a realistic trade up option at the moment, if the Clippers pick lands in the 20-22 range, could be Ivan Rabb. He's currently rated 15th in Draftexpress and would give us a boost in talent while also filling a long term need in the frontcourt.
He's having a great season as a rebounder (11.1 in 32 minutes a game) and has even hit the 3 ball decently on the very few he's attempted,
I was really disappointed he returned for his sophomore season as he was my personal pick for us leading up to the draft. Just seems like such a Masai player. He's productive(25.7 PER), has low bust potential, a decent ceiling given his length and potentially developing shot and seems like a high character guy who is an excellent student. Massai appears to value guys who won't have any negative impact on team chemistry, which is fair since the team has been a consistent playoff team of late.
Rabb just looks like our guy, unless someone like Anunoby falls.

Rabb seems like Ed Davis with better shooting range. Is Rabb going to be any better than Poeltl? I really want to trade up for TJ Leaf who's shooting amazing, great passer and has proven to beat #1 Kentucky. Can take over for Patterson if he leaves for like a $15 million offer.

He reminds me of Andrea Bargnani that is actually fit.

I love Issac and I believe he could be in the same mold of the tall, legnthy two-way skilled guy taking over the NBA right now - think AD, KD, Ginnas, Parker, Ingram, Simmons and even Embidd, Pozingis and Kat (They are centers but still really skilled)

I would trade anything on our roster to get him. We have to somehow keep up with Ginnias/Embidd teams of the future. Hopefully JV + Picks would be enough to move up to get him.

Vet Lowry/Powell/Vet DeRozan/Issac/Bebe or Poeltl wouldn't be too bad of a core in the future once LeBron's reign is over.

Are you thinking of having Isaac replace Bruno as stretch 4 / SF prospect? Isaac's game is better right now but they would need to give up on Bruno which might make sense since he's further along at a younger age.

I would prefer Harry Giles or Hartenstein only because we have Bruno. Lots of good guys in our range. Too many to sort through, I also like the Euro Porzingis lite.

Not really... Not at the deadline ... it would be viewed practically the same as now.

New Orelans needs players. If he's still there around #8, what about Norman Powell, Bebe Nogueira, Fred VanVleet, Bruno Caboclo, 2017 1st pick (LAC), 2018 1st pick (Tor) and 2017 2nd pick for Jonathan Isaac and Alexis Ajinca?

PG Lowry - CoJo - Wright
SG Derozan - Ross - Wright
SF Carroll - Isaac - 1st pick
PF Patterson - Siakam
C Valanciunas - Ajinca/Poeltl

PG Moore - FVV/Frazier
SG Hield/Powell - Galloway
SF Hill - Pondexter
PF Davis - 1st pick - Caboclo
C Bebe - Asik

Which busts will Masai take with his two first round picks? It's so exciting!

Return to Toronto Raptors
