Not exactly an even comparison. Simmons plays 1-4 for Philly and he's the best or second best player, depending on if Embiid plays or not. Boston doesn't need to play Tatum as many minutes.

Its the NBA. Super Stars get bias calls. Smart doesn't. He took a chance trying to take a charge, his feet moved, the refs saw it, realized he isn't a star, and didn't give him the call. Had he been a statue, like he has been before, he woulda gotten the call.

If he didn't move his foot a bit at the end he woulda gotten the call. He set and then lifted his foot before Simmons hit him. Maybe Simmons slowed up more than he expected.

we got the call going our way in the 3rd when Covington drove into Brown, who was shuffling just as much as Smart was.

can't be disappointed about getting 50% instead of 0% of those, but I'd bet if the ref could redo it he'd make the Simmons/Smart one be the charge because it looked laughable.
