Celtics are getting AD.

Everyone take an edible and relax.

It's top 6 protected, it's not better than the Lakers' pick.
By 2021 JJJ might be an all-star and Ja Morant is a beast.

Because we didn't get the MEM pick. And now we have to wait to see how they approach this season to see if we have a chance at their pick outside the top 6 next season. They could embrace the youth movement by dealing vets and tank, thus giving them strong chance at top 6 pick. This would then make their 2021 pick unprotected. But after three years of top picks, plus all that cash they'll have, that unprotected pick could be garbage. Or, they could add a very talented player to Conley and JJJ and make enough improvements to finish outside the top 6 which would give us their pick. Either way it's interesting and affected our present and future. Seems obvious

Memphis will be Memphis. That should console you.

Didn't they demote Chris Wallace?

Finally!

Can't blame him. New Orleans is a **** franchise and **** city. I hope he doesn't burn the first 7 years of his career there with nothing to show for it like AD.

The NBA basically gifted New Orleans number 1 to make up for AD leaving. How many times are they gonna bail that team out? Multiple all-star weekends, gave them number 1 to draft AD, and now this. They have some hard-on for keeping an NBA team in that city.

What you’re not understanding is that NY was probably going to trade Zion for AD... but with the 3 pick, they still have the best package to trade for AD.. well, second best package.. Lakers have the best.

So let’s recap...

1. Boston didn’t move up
2. Lakers did. And now have the best package for AD.
3. Knicks have RJ Barret as a trade asset to find a player to pair with Kd and Kyrie.

This isn't remotely true. It goes:

Boston

Knicks
Lakers

no, there are now about 10 teams with better packages for AD than Boston
your right the Goldnen state warriors trade there starting 5 for AD. The rockets trade James Harden and other for AD. The Mav trade Luka and the next 10 1st. GMAFB!

Think our best bet is to convince Kyrie to take a 1+1. Trade all the wings for Davis.

That can still be a pick outside the top 10, I'll take the 4th. The bottom of the east isn't even NBA material most of the time.

Thing with the Lakers offer is that it was reported to have been rejected by the team owners who are still the team owners. Dont think it matters who the GM is unless it happened to be the same guy that gifted them Tyson Chandler this year!

Also, their former #2 picks got hurt.

He could pull out of the draft. Deadline the 29th. I don’t see that happening but it is a possibility.

I hear ya but you gotta see both sides of the coin! If it ends up being another Nets heist and the lakers take the next Wiggins I'll be good with how it worked out! We will see in two years.
