Once again: as much as I'm not a fan of Zach's game, trading a good shooter for a non-shooter is an absolutely horrible idea in today's NBA.

As a general principle, we should be stockpiling shooters, not getting rid of them! FFS.

I agree as a general rule. That said, I think Ben Simmons is good enough to have as a foundational piece to build around. Philly was a lucky shot away from the NBA finals, and that team was loaded with guys who couldn't shoot 3's. The question that I have would be who of Otto, Lauri or WCj you'd bench.

I think I would do Lavine for Simmons, straight up. Nothing added on either side, just a simple swap. I think adding a guy like Simmons would be amazing for guys like Lauri and Coby. Jason Kidd was never a shooter yet it did not stop him from having, imo, a HOF career.
I know you need shooters but you also need playmakers and Simmons is a playmaker, who I think can make Coby/Lauri a lot of better because of his passing ability.

Yes, I would do Simmons for Lavine straight up.

You pair Simmons and LaVine, not trade them for each other.

If karnisovas managed to trade Lavine straight up for Simmons, he should immediately be named executive of the year. For the next 3 seasons, at least! And I like LaVine (at his current price)! This would never happen.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Yeah, find a way to bring in Simmons with LaVine and Lauri on the court, and we have something.

I’m a Lavine fanboy, but even I’ll tell you that if Philly ever offered Ben Simmons for Lavine, you don’t hesitate for a second.

That being said, Simmons is about 5x as more valuable than Zach. They could do much better.

I'm not so sure they could do better. If we got Simmons, I'd go all in on Edwards.

Taking the story that Colin Sexton is viewed as a 6th man and not a starter do you offer CLE #4 for him? I don't know if they or the Bulls do better expanding the trade to swap picks and move some more players

Sexton is a 6th man at best. He's a way better shooter now, I'll give him that, but he's an incredibly bad and unwilling passer and will never be useful defensively because of his physical limitations. Basically a small scoring guard with poor instincts on both ends. Giving up #4 for him is crazy talk to me.

Here is my crazy draft trade....Bulls send #4, Zack, and Thad for #1 from Min. Draft Wiseman. Bulls trade Carter to Washington for #9 and Troy Brown Jr.

Rumors swirling that Denver is looking to trade into the top 10. Have to think they checked in with AK.

#4 for MPJ? Would make that deal in a heartbeat, and Denver might also

It wouldn't shock me if AK is keeping an eye on the Harden situation. I could see it deteriorating quickly and I wouldn't be surprised if his trade value is lower than you'd think given his age.

What do you think the Bulls should offer for Harden?

we should be willing to trade literally everyone on our roster for james harden

the only thing i would take off the table is too many future draft picks in case he bolts when his contract's up. otherwise, what do we have to lose

Sounded like they wouldn't even do Simmons for him.
