The Jabari theory is making a lot of sense. Kidd and Jabari had a relationship where they didn't speak, I'm guessing that Kidd was pushing for a Jabari trade for more veteran talent and management got fed up.

Interesting that Horst wouldn’t call Prunty the interim for the remainder. I think they have someone in mind for the long haul

Looks like Prunty is unshackling DJ Wilson by putting him in the startling lineup tonight.

Just kidding. I hope. :o

Wash Post article highlighted a lot of what we've heard from other sources. Kidd demanding older, more experienced personnel, a poor culture in the organization, etc.

Here's hoping that Kidd didn't completely screw us asset wise, regardless of whoever we get to coach us. It's hard not to wince in pain and think about 3 years of potential assets lost.

Horst has gained a million points after the Bledsoe trade and getting Kidd fired. Saving my Bucks fandom one move at a time. Get me Messina.

LED: Hey, Hammonds or Horse? Whatever your name is.
Horst: Yes, masters?
LED: Fire Kidd
Horst: Really?
LED: Yes, we're bored of him now.
Horst: Ok...
LED: We'll write a letter saying it was your decision. You get to pick the interim guy.
Horst: Ok, I'll start looking.
LED: Wait, just hire that Prune guy or whatever his name is for now. Start thinking of a plan though.
Horst: Ok.

Horst leaves the room and begins thinking to himself. "Where can I find a coach...I know, Amazon! But that'll take a few days. I'll tell everyone I'll have the plan by Friday. That'll work."

JVG always talks up the Bucks when he is on Lowe’s podcast. Funny enough, he was just on last week and said we were without a doubt the most dangerous team in the 5-8 seed range. Connect the dots.

He’s probably done coaching, but damn he’d be 10x the coach Kidd was.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but he did a pretty good job when he was previously interim, team as a whole, looked vastly better. That's what I recall at least.

This is correct. It is extremely rare to have an owner who literally is in the shadows, and even then, when a transaction goes down, you go to the owner to let them know. The key is for the owners and front office to be unified and have the same vision. They know when it's time to spend. They know when it's time to not. They both know when it's time to compete, they both know when it's not. Etc.

I don't think rational people are honestly believing that ownership should be completely hands off. If I owned the Bucks, you better believe I'd be invested in personnel and coaching and the like. So would anyone here.

But there's a difference between being involved and refusing to delegate. A smart owner knows to hire a front office that has a unified vision, with the confidence and freedom to make decisions and take risks. A smart owner knows to when to defer and when to step in.

My initial celebrations are dying down. I find myself wondering what a new brand of Bucks basketball could look like! Oh my sweet jeebus. It's so wonderful to have a future where I could actually look forward to Bucks basketball.

100% and there is certainly questions about everyone with the Bucks being on the same page.

Heck the good owners probably rubber stamp nearly every move the GM make because the trust that person to do their job. But to think they don't have a say in the big decision of their multi-million dollar investment is crazy.

I feel about it very similarly to how I feel about Capers getting fired from the Packers. It is going to be different, but, really, how much worse could it be? I don't see any possible way our offense and rotations could come off as more inept. Our defense trapping and giving up free corner 3s doesn't make any sense either.

I don't know enough about how he's doing as an assistant but I always thought he would be a head coach someday. If the Bucks are willing to go the inexperienced route I think Jerry Stackhouse needs to be considered too. He's supposedly doing a great job coaching in the G-league.
