Bron and Steph running away in terms of RPM WINS if u value that stat

That stat has shown Curry to be better than Durant throughout the last 8 years, even when sharing a team together.

RPM in general has always loved LeBron, Steph and Cp3 (Lowry too)

Wonder why Durant doesn't get as much love?

The hate for Kawhi is evident for the OP, didn't even bother to include name in poll smh
Not a frontrunner but can easily make a case for top 5, if you include curry, lillard, giannis and even KD who missed several games might as well include Kawhi's name in the poll

Then it's a truthful stat

What exactly happened the other day when AD was out, do you remember?

...whoever uses the word "exposed" together with an MVP worthy player just exposes himself as hater.

no idea tbh...it doesn't like Klay either at all, but that one I kinda get because Klay just shoots and defensively while he's solid he doesn't really get his hands on a lot of balls

They (Bron and Curry) have definitely been the queens on the NBA chessboard for the last 8 years.

I had Kawhi way up there in standings next to Bron.

But he just had 2 bad losses without PG. Tatum outplayed him in the Boston game and the Kings.

The top 3-5 guys are so close in performance that a couple of games each way matters.

Its starting to feel like LeBron will take it in a landslide if the Lakers get that #1 seed. Embiid to me right now is the only real threat.

AD being out of shape and hurt helps his case too. He's got a pretty good supporting cast, but it's certainly not a stacked team without AD being a superstar

Embiid still top for me
Luka is out of the question now.
Seems like his team might not end up in the playoffs.
Curry might also be out if they stay around .500

So it's between embiid lebron jokic
Giannis won't get 3 in a row. And dark horse is KD if he plays games lol and nets start getting a wining streak

Jokic MVP talk needs to die down now that Nuggets are basically a .500 team. Team record is going to be the decider for guys that are having great seasons.

If Jokic was playing with another superstar maybe they would be the 1 seed..

Giannis doesn't play with a superstar and they ran away with the first seed last season. I watched the game last night and Jokic played great on offense but he didn't find a way to win against a Bucks team without Jrue. Their current record is 12-11, which is horrible and they lost 3 in a row. Imagine if LeBron or Giannis had that record and people would say 'mvp', that's a joke. It's LeBron & Embiid by a big margin at this point.

Gotta say Lebron is the only candidate who doesn't have a glaring weakness in his case/narrative. Jokic has a terrible record, embiid missed 5 games and he probably will miss a decent number, giannis has won it twice in a row and the consensus about him is that he needs to step up his game or in the playoff to prove that he's an mvp, so it's hard for him to win playing a worse season and having a worse record than last year, kd has a bad record and misses games. Kawhi missed 4 games too, pg is pg and he missed a lot of games,
curry irving and lillard are playing amazing but won't be taken into consideration for various reasons.
Lebron on the other hand, while his individual level is anywhere between top 5-10, has a good record, hasn't missed a game, has points/efficiency/assists/rebounds/decent defense/good advanced stats/narrative on his side

6. Giannis Antetokounmpo, 5.33
7. Kyle Lowry, 5.31
8. Mike Conley, 5.28
9. Joel Embiid, 5.23
10. Nikola Jokic, 4.87

RAPTOR:

5. LeBron James, 4.2

LEBRON (PIPM sucessor from b-index):

1. Kawhi Leonard, 5,86
2. Nikola Jokic, 5,56
3. LeBron James, 5,41
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo, 5,39
5. Anthony Davis, 5,19
6. Joel Embiid, 5,07
7. Rudy Gobert, 4,41
8. Mike Conley, 4,38
9. Luka Doncic, 4,36
10. Khris Middleton, 3,68

It looks like it's super close in overall impact evaluation, you may have a distance to those metric but normally strong MVP candidates (Giannis or Steph) easily stand out among others, but this time it looks like there's a core of players on similar level regardless of their boxscore production.

I said this on page 4 and I'll say it again.

Lebron's the MVP. And its not even close.
