Everytime I watch Scoot, I'm legitimately impressed...he's just a flat out baller! His bball IQ, feel for the game & just ability to create despite his size is just different (although his strength & excellent athleticism makes him play bigger than what he is, like he's 6'4-5). It's like someone hit Donovan Mitchell with a dash of Luka or something (didn't say just like, just a touch of) to his game because he manipulates defences and has so much creativity off the dribble at such a young age. Really seems to read the court well.

If Scoot was about 6'8-6'9, I think then it would be a closer convo would you potentially take him 1st but even at his Mitchell like size, he just has that vibe about him to me that he's gonna be a culture shifter like Ja & just have whatever city he plays for will be LIT!! I haven't even let my mind run with the ideas of either of Vic or Scoot. Vic I'd be absolutely mindblown & Scoot would just be can't miss bball, he's already one of my favourite players to watch & he hasn't even hit the league, love the way he competes.

If he was 6'9 and he moved exactly the same ? He'd be the second coming of Lebron James lol.

I would say probably better than Lebron since he is a better at FT and 3 PT. He does turnover a bit too much but still gets you a ton of assists per game. HIs first step is gross.

Cason Wallace would be a perfect complement to our roster. He's basically a 3 + D guard, who can lock down the opposing PG or SG and play off the ball and hit threes on high volume, efficiently. He's basically what we want GTJ to be but with better defense. Plus I think his ball skills are underrated with room for development, as he can get downhill pretty well.

Jrue Holiday! I'd be cool with Cason if can't move into the top 4.

1. Victor
2. Scoot
3. Amen
4. Brandon Miller

Nick Smith Jr, Ausar Thompson, Cason Wallace, Baba Miller, GG Jackson, Cam Whitmore.

Seems like coming away with at least a sold starter if not moving up into the top 4.

Also Kentucky guards have a good record of exceeding expectations in the NBA. He definitely has more in his bag than what is shown.

6th in the lottery now. 2 games back of ORL.

Top 5 is very achievable.

I think FO may not mind tanking but sensitive how this is perceived by everyone (seat paying fans, MLSE, Edward rogers, players)

Very touchy topic

If we pick top 5, it will be a tough choice. I don't want GG Jackson because his floor is a little too low. He has bust potential. Nick Smith is nice. Amen might be available. Brandon Miller. Anthony Black. Really solid options, even guys that fit our mold.

Edit: Wait Ryan Rupert is back. With these injured / suspended players returning the first round is going to be fun this year.

He's got youth on his side being just turned 18, where as Thompsons are and Brandon Miller will be 20 at the draft. I guess GG's ceiling is a Paul George.

NBADraft.net is also high on Rupert mocking him at #10.

Jarace looks better and better. That 3pt shot is for real.
He's like Achiuwa + Stewart hybrid.
He's gonna a defensive nightmare at the next level.

Big believer in this kid. A jack of all trades type of player.
If we select in the 6-8 range, I'd strongly consider him. Masai type of player.
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

Love Jarace! Attitude, toughness, everything. Thought scenarios where he ended up on the Raps were pipe dreams early this season. Looks like we'll be setting our sights higher up the draft board, which gives us a chance at some special shot-creators & shooters we desperately need.

That said, I think there is a reasonable chance that Jarace goes on to have a better career than at least a few of the players mocked in the top 10. I also think there's more to his game (including positional versatility) than what he's able to show in Houston. If we can turn Fred into pick that yields Jarace, I'd be thrilled!

I don't see IT. I think he'll be like GTJr. I guess he has potential to be like Beal but I feel like he'll be closer to Trent.

If not a PG like Wallace, I think outside the top 4. I'd look at Rupert at 6'7 with 7'3 wingspan to be the SG of the future.

I like Jarace a lot too. My only concern is his weakness is our weakness so the fit might not be great.

I guess he's alright. I'd probably have him drafted near Gradey Dick. Probably in the teens.

Dick has been rising lately. Maybe top 10.

Being in the position to look at players like the Thompson Twins, Cam Whitmore, Brandon Miller, etc is exciting AF
