They really aren't. Mitchell is a killer. Plays great in playoffs. How did RJ and Randle look in the playoffs? There are regular season players and then there are stars like Mitchell who are needed for the playoffs.

Dmitch at his peak so far wasn’t even as good as Julius’s mip year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dmitch has not and most likely never will reach all nba status!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heck he’s not even better/close to peak Beal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop the shenanigans he’s a very good player but he’s not kd, Luka, Giannis etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the price is right do it but don’t overpay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dmitch isn’t that dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luka + Giannis would get all 8 of our picks and Obi, RJ and Grimes in a trade. No one is calling for that for Mitchell. 4-5 picks + Obi/Grimes, since he's not on the elite level.

KD? Give me a break. He's a 35 year old player who can barely stay healthy now. I wouldn't trade RJ straight up for him.

That’s way to much for dmitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s not that good man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s barely a top 20 player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know some fans are desperate but thats just ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be better ag3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think repeating certain topics ad infinitum is an issue around here

So, anyone think Thunder take RJ, Fournier, Rose and picks for SGA?

If Knicks get SGA and keep RJ, I'm getting a "Two Knicks One Cup" sig made to annoy Jimmit. And anyone else.

It'll be far below Goatse Mitch in bad taste

It can't be Stanley Johnson they want. Very inefficient. Turrible.

They wouldn't be the key pieces coming back in the deal moreso depth.

Both THT and Johnson are decent sized guards/wings that play good defense for thibs and could round out a bench. I don't think the Knicks would have any use for beverly

Both THT and Johnson have one foot in the G league...no thanks!

agree on that...Donovan Mitchell has proven he can be the best offensive player on a really good team. SGA has a ton of talent but his ceiling is still a bit murky on if he can be an offensive hub like Mitchell already is.

Hopefully Thibs changes the game plan
Throughout last season, I asked about the late-game offense (especially the tendency to run a brush screen for Randle, then dump him the ball in the mid-post so he could force a switch and square up a mismatch for the remainder of the shot clock, too often finishing with a contested jumper), but I never uncovered any thoughtful reasoning as to why the Knicks kept going that way.

I vividly remember asking Randle about those tendencies following the mid-February loss in Portland. I described the play, as I just did in the above parenthetical, and inquired why he was more comfortable operating that way late in games as opposed to going downhill more often. His full response: “It’s a set play that we run in the fourth.”

It’s not all on Randle. The Knicks had possibly the worst point guard play of any team that was trying to win games last season. Too much of a burden fell on him, Barrett and even Alec Burks because of that. Surely, Randle felt the burden, and as he alluded to in that not-so-revealing 10-word response, head coach Tom Thibodeau kept calling those plays, too.

He’s taller but less athletic and slower. Overrated as a defender imo. Not a better playmaker. Inferior scorer/vocal leader

He's the better fit, because of size, IMO better play making, and solid defense. We have Thibs as our vocal leader...

Im not sure Mitchell's better scoring (and its really not a huge margin) outweigh the defensive back court issues he'd compound. If the price was less for SGA , he's the better fit IMO. He really doesn't have any major flaws to his game and has not even hit his prime.
