Best rookie this franchise has ever had, and probably the best player too at the end of his career, which means a great deal when you consider how awesome KG was during his peak.
Forget about Love, he was an excellent player for the Wolves but Towns is already better considering his age, versatility and his ability to defend the paint.

Re: **The Official Karl-Anthony Towns Thread**
I don't post on here too often (probably an understatement) but had to log in to say how much I'm enjoying watching KAT this season. I wanted him over Okafor largely because I felt he was what we most needed. I doubt anyone expected him to be this good this soon - he's incredible. I like his attitude and his drive - that makes a huge difference.

Towns, one of the NBA’s most promising rookies, said lessons from Garnett played a role in him winning the Skills challenge on Saturday. “I was nervous, but a lot less nervous because of the breathing technique he (Garnett) taught me,”Towns said.

Remember the old days, when Calinks had to beg for some ESPN love? The times, they are a changing!

Re: **The Official Karl-Anthony Towns Thread**
Towns on the Rookie of the Year race.
“For me, I really just don't care. The award, I think, is very prestigious and honorable. I'm very fortunate to even be mentioned in the race, but for me it doesn't matter. The thing is, there's a lot of great, individual accolades in the world. (But) very few (players) get to win team accolades. That’s something that very few people get a chance to do. I've been blessed to be a part of an organization where the real award that I want to win, which is an NBA championship, seems to be in our sights and we have the talent, the coaching staff, and the management to do it.”

There should not be any race. This is KAT driving a Mercedes and the rest are using a tricycle. Give him already the ROY, please.

Well, Karl, no matter whether you care or not about the award, you're going to get it regardless. You're just too talented.

About two months ago.
