They aren’t going to waste cap space on middle tier guys. The plan is hopefully Dunn, Zach, Lauri and Carter show enough promise to attract big time players in 2019 and 2020. My opinion the only guy worthy of using our space on is Parker.

What are the chances Sac offers Zach more than $20 million per. Would the FO consider letting him go and then signing Jabari?

Bulls, Hawks, Kings, and likely soon Nets are pretty much at a stand still right now. They're about the only teams holding considerable cash, but, they're waiting to starve the remaining free agents and teams. When the players finally break and are desperate enough to lower their asking price to terms the Kings, Bulls, Nets and Hawks want, then they'll start making deals.

ya I guess, but this waiting game sure as hell is boring. I'd like to get something done.

honestly, most of the deals I'm glad went to other teams, some real Ugh contracts IMO but those that I did like.

Cousins, yes for sure i'd sign him for 5.3
randall, rondo, stephenson, calderon, payton,

several 1 year deals that were cheap enough that I thought we could have looked at, payton for sure and stephenson.

If you can sign can get a SF on a 1 year deal we can can be a 5 seed in the East. Imo we should hope to make the playoffs so we can attract Butler/Irving next year.

Dunn/Payne
Lavine/Holiday
?/Hutchinson/Valentine
Markkanan/Portis
Carter/Lopez

Can easily be a 5 seed in the East

Then next year

Irving/Dunn
Lavine/ ?
Butler/Hutchinson
Markkanan/Portis
Carter/ ?

Could complete with Boston and Philly

I don't think the Kings can get much past $18 mil without some trade dumps first.

i doubt the kings get up past 18 mill to offer lavine. would be really surprised if they cleared more space to get up to 25 mill per, and honestly if they were that serious about really getting to a price to lure lavine away and the bulls not match, i think they would have made those moves by now. the fact they are not clearing guys out now, tells me they are not prepared to offer a deal outside of what the bulls will match. and 17,18 mill per, i think garpax matches. so imo i wouldnt be surprised if the kings just didnt bother to even offer a deal, and we just end up signing lavine later in july or august at a very reasonable deal between 16-18 mill.

Khawhi looks not interested in being on clippers to be outdone by Lebron lakers I think we might actually get him to look at the bulls if we push hard enough ...it's a really long shot but dam I think he wants to be the MAN on a historical franchise

If morey or ainge were in charge it would be possible, but with Gar/Pax forget it I don’t think they will ever pull off a trade like this. All they know is to draft, their bad at everything else.

It seems like each week Kawhi isn't interested in a team anymore lol

Is he even interested in basketball? He's giving off an Andrew Bynum vibe to me.

i dont doubt there is some truth to kawhi wanting to move on from the spurs and might not want the lakers either, i just find it a bit ironic that when we bring up jimmy , we have to hear him being a locker room issue and a coaches nightmare, but all that seems to be forgotten when we talk kawhi when he just pulled a controversy and drama on a franchise that would put derrick rose to shame. literally refused to play when healthy and forced his way out of san antonio, yet we still clamoring for the guy.

how is it jimmy can be seen as a locker room cancer but not kawhi?

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Butler has been a guy that calls out teammates for not playing hard, and leads by example. I feel like he's the kind of guy you'd live with ruffling a few feathers.

I never thought of butler as a bad locker room guy

Also the only reason I'm not chanting for us to grab butler so we can pair him with kyrie is because of that injury he took and that scares me

It doesn't scare me because he came back and was still the same Butler.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for butler coming back but I would hope for the sake of trying to win a ring he would take a discount and bring Irving also

Andre Ingram showed a lot of promise in his rookie debut with the Lakers. The Bulls could sign him cheap, and if he develops they could trade him to a contender.

Probably not much left to develop in a 32 yr old guy who's played 32 minutes in the league.

No offense but Andre Ingram may be the worst name I've ever heard thrown out there for this team....32 and really only got a shot due to injuries and LA's season being far far over...

I'd rather go after guys like Patrick McCaw...22 with potential and played with Warriors so might have some insight to bring...

Return to Chicago Bulls
